all diode are not the same . they all have a different value, so it all depends on the kva input /output it determine the values to be used .
you do not need to use the original as long they are of good manufacturer

the problem isnt in the power supply unit, put back the original power supply instead, check the heat section of the board where you can see the flyback section, verify the high voltage input by using the voltmeter , if high voltage is missing check all the capacitors and diodes near the highvoltage section, if blown replace it with the same value.

Have you checked all the other components used in the main power supply regulator section circuit, before replacing a new STR? You should do it. There should be a reason for the failure to STR. You should find it, and rectify it, before replacing an other STR. Check all the small components, resistors, zener diodes, small value ceramic capacitors etc: Make sure all of it are OK. Especially give a keen attention to zener diodes used; if any. ZD3 is a 18v zener. Also check the surface mount resistor on the back of the board that is attached to ZD3, I think it is R9. Should be 10 ohms. This resistor sometimes opens when the diode goes short.

please check for any blown fuses, if there is replace with the same value, do not replace it with a higher value. also check resistors near the rectifier diodes, check full wave diodes & ic regulators, if you find an error replace with the same value or specs.

replace the regulators,check for change value resistors at the power supply section or resistors near the regulator.check for shorted diode and leak capacitors..also check the horizontal output v transistor..

If you not getting any indicator at all, then the power supply is dead, if you get some indicator light and that all it does, then the 5v standby voltage circuit is OK but not the main power section. Look for bad filter capacitors that will have bulging tops.
