Just enter the appropriate Menu-Setting (without a picture you´ve to do this "blind") - Press "Setup" - 1x key down (=video menu) - 1x key right (switch to sub menus) - 2x key down(=video format) - press select - key up (=interlaced) and press select again - finished!

What about connecting the recorder temporarly on a tv set, which supports progressiv scan? When you "see" a picture there, you can switch back to interlaced mode.

How to rip dvd video to youtube on mac os

Part one : choose a proper video format for youtube

Most of people who have ever uploaded video to youtube came across one of the scentiro: cant upload video to youtube ,or take hours to upload video to youtube.Unfortunately , i am among the one of these kind of people with such bad luck ,and this takes me days to figure out what the problem it is.

For the reason that you cant upload video to youtube is that the video you prepare to upload is not supported by youtue.Go to youtube official documentation for reference. So if you video clip is not in one of these video formats, you cant upload video to youtube obviously.

As for taking hours to upload video to youtube ,the reason is that your video is either too big nor is not in best video format.I have always faced lot of problems in uploading videos to Youtube and eveytime I upload it the video quality has been poor. Since then I always wanted a good balance between video quality and file size.I would recommend following video formats in order to attain the the best quality video for youtube. .

Video Format: MP4/ MPEG/MOV/FLV(MP4 and FLV are my favorites.)
Video Codec: H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4
Audio Codec: MP3 or AAC (stereo channel)

Part two : how to rip dvd to youtube video format

In order to upload DVD movie clips to YouTube, you first need a DVD ripping program to help you extract the video clips from the DVD movie and rip the DVD movie to YouTube friendly video formats like FLV, WMV, AVI, etc. Note: This tutorial only focuses on how to rip DVD movies to FLV format for YouTube video.

Step 1: Free download and install DVD Ripper for Mac.
Step 2: Load DVD to convert to FLV
Insert DVD into your DVD-ROM. Click "Load DVD" button to load your DVD. Just Click "Load IFO" button and press DVD folder or DVD IFO file.

Step 3: Select FLV as Output Format
Use the “Format” on the bottom of the window to control the output format. Click on the toggle to the right of the "Format" label to get format drop-down menu.

Step 4: Change FLV Video and Audio Settings
You can change the Resolution, Encoder, Bit rate and Frame rate of the FLV video and Sample Rate, Channels, Encoder and Bit Rate of the FLV Audio. The size of the FLV file depends a lot on these settings.

Step 5: Select Output Directory
Expand the "Output" panel. Use the "Browse" button to select an output directory.

Step 6: After all the settings, click "Convert" to start the DVD conversion.

DVD Ripping

This is a two part process...
You'll need DVD Decryptor (freeware) and AutoGK (also freeware).
In DVD Decryptor you'll be ripping the DVD movie to an IFO file.
Once that is complete load AutoGK, select the IFO file you just created (it will automatically get the .vob's you just created) select a destination defualt an audio track (usually movies have more than one audio track) and file size and let it go. Depending on the movie it should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

The other program you can use after DVD Decryptor is Any Video Converter (also freeware). Instead of selecting the ifo file, select all the .vob files and then right click on the files and select "merge" (make sure they are in the correct order).

This program is a lot faster than autoGK BUT if your DVD has multiple audio tracks, it may not get the right one during conversion.

I believe you can get everything at www.filehippo.com

Hope this helps

Ps3

you might want to try changing the settings settings just go to sound settings>audio output settings and choose the type of cable you're using sfter that select automatic and press X. if that doesnt solve the problem may be you accidentally chage the BD/DVD audio output format. is locate in BD/DVD Settings change both BD/DVD audio output format (HDMI) and BD Audio Output Format (optical Digital) to linear PCM or viseversa try both to see wich one works.
p.s. it can also be a problem with your sound/ hometheater system.
