Another way to get around the parental controls password from lock screen is swipe up and type 57776664438.88 5 times and then scroll down and hit the reset parental controls password then type in your email password then type in your new parental controls password this way u dont have to reset your kindle fire

Either enter the parental control password or factory reset the tablet. Power off the tablet, press the power then press and hold power and either vol up or vol down to get the boot menu. Choose the factory reset option.

How do I unlock the kindle fire HD 6 so my grandkids dont have to ask me to put in the password every time ...... I have the parental locks on

1. From the top of the screen, swipe downwards.
2. Select 'More'.
3. Tap 'Security'.
4. Find 'Lock Screen Password' and tap 'Off'.
5. Now enter your current password.
6. Select 'Next' and tap 'Done' to confirm.

It will not ask for a password each time you turn on or it goes to sleep!

How do I retrieve my parental control password

I think the best solutions is this one. Go to your amazon account and "manage your device", then deregister it. That resets the parental password. Go to the device and click resync. When thats done go into the settings gear, my account, then register it using your amazon account info. You won't lose anything on your device.

Not positive but think you will have to unregister the Kindle and then re-register it. You will lose everything.

The Kindle FIRE's have an option to restrict/lock in-game purchases.

If you have set the Kindle with Parental Controls / in Game App Purchase Controls then you can not buy things.
