You can download the drivers from the link given below. These drivers will work with your notebook,the drivers are only available for Windows 7 and Win XP operating systems.
If it is a USB external drive it should be recognized by your laptop, it worked for my dell floppy drive from xp to win 7 64bit, if it does not you should download the winxp driver and use it to install in win 7 when it does not recognizes the drive.

Actually :) its not made to run for Windows XP its Serial ATA and On-Board technology surpassed that of Windows XP - it needs a bigger haul and thats Windows 7.
So frankly - only WINDOWS 7 DRIVERS is available for this kind of notebook :)
