Try installing the printer with a USB cable first (disconnect the LAN CABLE FIRST) and do a normal installation. Check all functions of the printer and then do a LAN printer install by going to "install or add a new printer on the control panel and then follow the instructions for adding the printer via LAN or wireless if it does support that function. I think you did the initial install backwards (LAN first instead of USB) and when you think you're done, update any software that might be available from the manufacturers site, THE ACTUAL MANUFACTURER not any other site that offers the update!) Like CNET OR FIXYA OR WHATEVER) GO DIRECTLY TO THE SITE, e.g., Canon, Epson, ETC..)

SOURCE: My Ricoh Afficio 2232C doesn't print and it gives me this message

A 440-1 is a black drum motor lock. The waste toner in the black pcu is backed up, more then likley. It is not easy to fix. You could replace the black pcu but it will happen again. The usual problem is oil in the main waste toner system. It clumps up the toner and clogs the part where all the waste toner comes together for entry into the waste toner bottle.

Printer not connected to cmmputer

All cables can fail! Have you tried changing the connecting cable for a twin?
Go to Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes
In the new window, select the Hardware tab and Device Manager and select Device
Manager button. Near the bottom of the list is Ports, double click to open. One should
say 'Printer Port (LPT1)
2x Click on that and a new window opens 'Printer Port Properties'
It should say 'The printer port is working normally' and at the bottom it should say 'Use
this device (enable)
If it isn't, then Enable it. Then select the 'Trouble shooting' option.
All being well, eventually click OK and close all windows.

Go to Start>Control Panel>System and double click.
Your printer should be listed. Select it and right click. On the drop down Menu, select
Properties.
In the new window click on the Ports tab. On the list should be your printer , the box
should be ticked, [ and if you are sharing the printer it says 'USB Virtual Printer port to
'your printer']
Under that are two more boxes-one says 'enable bi-directional support' - if not Tick it.
At the bottom Tick 'Apply' and close the window.
Failing that, all printers have a self-test facility when it does not matter if it is connected
to a computer or not. If that doesn't work, your printer is broke!

Not much info here. If this is an error message that prints out when sending a print job from your computer, try replacing the ethernet cable.

How do I connect my Action tec router V1000H to other computers to be able to print to ne printer. Iam running widnows 7

1)make sure that the printer is capable to be a network printer.

2) make sure that your able to print with main computer on the network.

3) make sure that the printer was able to detect the network via wireless connection ( if the printer have wireless capability) ( if not then it should be connected with a ETHERNET cable directly to your router)

4) make sure that the other computer already have the driver of the printer.

try using this first and if this will not work try sending me a message so that i can give you some more steps.

Want to print text messages from cell phone

Try sending any test messages to your email address using your cellphone. Then you can print anything using the email's Print operation. The more expensive alternative is to buy the cellphone's cable-to-USB for your model cellphone.

If your phone has bluetooth, send the text to your computer via bluetooth, then use your printer to print them, if you have a bluetooth enabled printer just send them straight to that, or if you don't have bluetooth at all, use a usb cable to connect to your computer.

To access the phone's SMS messages, just click the SMS entry on the left side of the PhoneView window. You can copy individual messages, Command-click to copy several messages (helpful when you want to copy just those messages that are part of a particular conversation), or copy all messages by selecting one message, pressing Command-A to select them all, and clicking the Copy From mobile phone button at the top of the window.

Keep getting the error message "Printer not responding".

How are you connecting the printer to the computer? (USB, parallel, ethernet) Make sure there are no error messages/lights blinking and that the unit is on.

If you are using an USB cable, try a new cable. Also try a direct connection if you have a USB hub or print server in use. Make sure the USB ports are active (not disabled for power saving or security). Test the port with a known working device.

If you are using the parallel cable, make sure it is properly secured. Also try a new cable. Again try a direct connection instead of a print server.

If you are using an ethernet connection, again try a new cable. Check if your firewall is blocking communication with the printer. (Test this by temporarily turning off the firewall. If it starts working, make the printer a trusted part of the network. With some firewalls, you may need to unblock communication for both incoming and outgoing communication with the printer.)

I hope this helps.

Zebra TLp 2844 (printer not connected error message )

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools (in Clasic view), and double click on Services. Scroll down and right-click on "Print Spooler". Start (or Restart) it and your printers will reappear in the "Printers and Faxes" window, and the spooler will try to send jobs to the printers again.

If you check the Properties of the Print Spooler, on the Recovery tab, you can set it to "Restart the Service". I set mine to Restart on the First Failure and Second Failure, and Take No Action on the Third Failure, in case something really needs attention.
