If you have a screwdriver q tip and rubbing alcohol you can fix it. Take the screws out remove the cover and locate the laser. It looks like a small lens. Dip the q tip into the rubbing alcohol just get it damp not dripping. Clean the lens with the Q tip and then put it back together.

I had the same problem, "No Disc." I think that issue may be tied to the ribbon cable that connects the DVD head reader to the control board. Unplug and remove the cover. The ribbon cable is light blue and connects the reader head to the control board. Lift the black retaining sleeve surrounding the ribbon cable on the control board. Clean the contacts, reinsert, and push the black retainer into position to lock the cable in place. This fixed the "No Disc" problem on my unit.

A div-x dvd will play about 15 minutes and then player will quit. After approximately 20 mins, you can repeat but it continually cuts off after 15 mins of play

sounds like its over heating make sure you clean out the air vents and it has good room to breathe with a fresh air supply also there is a fan inside open it up carefully and turn it on make sure the fan is spinning if not you can replace the fan

I have two ptac units, both want to run 5 or 6 mins. and cut off

Make sure there is nothing in front of the units, Chair, Couch ect, if you take the cover off the Units, you will see a little black Thermoster attached to the coil.
If the air bounces back off of something then it will cool that Thermoster and shut the unit down before the desired room temp is acualy reached.
Also make sure your Thermastat control knob is turned far enough to the right so that its asking for more cooling, Or desired temp.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!

Cuts in and out

I suspect a bad compressor run capacitor. Take the unit to a service facility & have the capacitor & overload protector replaced. The overload will be weakened by the repeated cycling.
