Question about DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Machine
Hi, I just purchased the DeLonghi EC155 machine. I made my first coffee and cappuccino using the 2 cup filter and it was just perfect. However, when I try to make just coffee with the 1 cup filter nothing comes out...everything is mushed when I remove the filter holder. Even though the machine is brand new I cleaned the filter but still nothing comes out of there. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thanks

THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU HAVE TO STOP THE MACHINE ONCE YOU HAVE ENOUGH IN YOUR CUP . IS NOT A COMERCIAL MACHINE THAT WOULD GIVE THE RIGHT AMOUNT AND THEN STOP ....

I DON'T THINK YOU ARE GETTING A GOOD SEAL ON THE PORTAFILTER . YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NO COFFEE AROUND THE EDGES AND EVRYTIME YOU ARE DONE BREWING RUN SOME WATER INTO A CUP WITHOUT THE PORTAFILTER IN PLACE .

The pic is clogged with coffee or the air bladder is bad. Use the tool on the underside of the tray to clean out pic. If that doesn't work, the bladder will be bad.

Make sure the needle in the bottom of the K cup holder is not missing, broken or bent. Also, look at your used K cup when it comes out. Is there a hole in the top and the bottom? It sounds like the pressure is building up within the K cup due to a backup at the bottom of it. This could also occur if the bottom needle hole is obstructed. Be careful...the needles are sharp!

for a single shot of espresso I hold for about 17 - 20 secs and then turn of the machine and this machine does not shutdown automatically.

I have the same problem too and looks like my brew pressure is considerably low compared to when I got the machine a couple of months back, BTW, I cleaned the machine as per the instructions i.e. using the both the commercial and the citric acid method but there is no improvement. Hope somebody can help us.
