My Haier AC (KFR 25GW/Z1) makes a loud "click" or "crack" sound every few minutes while running. Can you please provide a solution?

It sounds like a control board fault. You can try a reset. Turn it off at the breaker for 2 hours. Switch it back on and wait 5 minutes before turning the unit back on with the remote.

check that the temperature setting is not at or above ambient temperature as the machine will go into standby until the thermostat is activated by a higher temperature that what it is set at.. So if the setting is 35degrees and the room temperature is 25degrees it sensors that it need not turn on and will go to standby until the 35 degrees becomes less than the 25 degrees.

It may be the bearings in the motor are dry or out. You coulod pull the motor and fan assembly out and check its operation while it is out of the heater case. Look for anything inside the heater cavity where the motor sits for any problem hindering motor operation.

Hello, you would need to take the top cover off the AC and check the fan, usually the hub of the fan breaks and becomes loose or sometimes just the clamp comes loose and the fan hits the housing. compressor grounded. replace relay or compressor

Compressor start relay - white plastic part - sitting right on the compressor, disconnect it shake it - u'll here it if it's damaged. :)

Hi, I am not familiar with this model but the noise sounds like a relay clicking at the compressor. Is the sound coming from the outside in the back?

Rumbling sound is not good. Check to see if it is making the noise with the door open. If so - it probably is a fan blade scraping. If it keeps making the noise - it is likely the compressor - either a faulty relay or capacitor. Or maybe the compressor is faulty. You'll need to be handy with a multimeter to check these out though.

Have someone check the run capacitor of this unit. If the run capacitor is bad over shorted it can cause the unit to run and short cycle on a current overdraw. This makes for an electrical imbalance in the compressor motor. Next step is the compressor is faulty.
