SPEAKER PROBLEMS SCREEN SHOWS, VOLUME WORKS BUT NO SOUND

Look for a volume control near the bottom of the screen. Slowly move the pointer over the symbols and watch for one that shows volume. Click on that to open it and make certain it is turned up. If there is also a "mixer" click on that to make certain the volumes of the mixer are also turned up.

I will assume you are using windows media player so go down to the bottom of the screen and see where that volume level is set. If all of those are set at the middle setting or higher you should be getting volume. If not, I fear the sound card is kaput and will need to be replace. I hope this fixes it for you.

you have to go to audio sound setting and select headphone

For Vista/windows 7
Check with volume settings.

?· Right click on the speaker icon in taskbar and select volume control options.

?· Put a check mark on "All devices currently playing sound".

?· Make sure you have "The default communication device unchecked".

?· Place a check mark on both speakers and headphones.

For Windows XP

- Speakers, Headphones

?· In "Control Panel", select "Switch to Classic View", and open "Sounds and Audio Devices".

?· In "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties", click the "Audio" tab, and click the "Volume" of "Sound playback".

?· On the "Master Volume" screen, click "Properties" in the "Options" menu.

?· Add a check mark to "Playback" of "Adjust volume for" on the "Properties" screen, and check marks to "Master Volume" and "Wave" for the control to be displayed, and click the "OK" button.

?· On the "Master Volume" screen, remove the check marks from "Mute all" of "Master Volume" and "Mute" of "Wave".
Note: The settings may differ depending on the PC you are using. Please check items such as sound in the manual for the PC you are using.

The volume speaker Icon wont show usually because you have no sound drivers installed. To confirm this,
1) Go to your control panel and double click on "Sounds and Audio devices"
2) The window that appears sholu show the device volume slider active - which means the driver works fine and is installed. If this is so, click on "place volume icon in task bar".

If not, you need to install the sound drivers for your device.

• Check that the speakers are powered on.
• Check that the speakers are connected to the correct ports on the PC. This is particularly important If the customer has both integrated sound and a sound card.
• If the speakers have a volume control button - ensure that this is turned up.
• Check that the Windows Audio service is running. If this is not running then many of the subsequent troubleshooting steps will not work. Go to Start->Run and type services.msc. Double cliick on Windows Audio. Select Start if possible and check that the Startup Type is Automatic. Click OK.
• If the speakers are digital speakers then try forcing the sound card to use digital. Go to Start->Control Panel->Sound and Audio Devices.. On the Volume tab, click the Advanced button in the Device Volume section. In the Volume Control window, below the Play Control Volume slider, click Advanced. If this does not show select Advanced Controls from the Options menu. Select Digital Output Only
• If possible try an external audio source like a Walkman, CD, or MP3 player (connect the speakers to the headphone jack)
• Check that the volume control in Windows isn't muted or turned too low. See the screen shots below. Go to Start->Control Panel and double click on Sounds and Audio Devices.

Hi, there are two thing that can cause the sound failure.

The sound IC inside the phone panel and the speaker of the phone.

First check the speaker by unscrewing the phone and see if the speaker is still ok. If it is ok, that means the Sound IC that makes the phone produce sound is damaged and will need to be replaced.

Two possible causes.1) Vol Settings changed in windows2) Bad hardware
1) Check your system's sound settings:

For Xp

• Goto Control Panel
• Double Click Sound and Audio devices / Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices
• In device Volume Click Advance
• Master Volume Control Window will open
• Increase all the volumes to max, also make sure that Mute us UNCHECKED.

OR

• From the bottom right corner of your screen in system tray, double click a small speaker icon and open Master Volume Control.

For Vista and Windows 7

• From system tray (its at bottom right corner of your screen) double click on small speaker icon, it will open Volume mixer
• Increase the volume to max.

2) If this does not work, then test your speakers by connecting it to some other system and vice versa.
If you get desired sound volume when you connect some other speakers to your system, then you have to change your speakers. And if your speakers are working fine on other system then you may have to purchase a new sound card.

Hi i have speackers.... but i have no realtec and i have no sound at all i tryed to look for the
volume bar buti can not find thatas well, and i do not have ac97 audio configuration as well
to ut it all together i got nothing to hear music, i hope you can help me out on this problem
