I have Bose V25 home theater system. Volume goes up by itself and it will get stuck at 100 ( max volume). Now this issue happens 5 - 6 times in an hour. Neither the volume control on remote nor on the receiver will respond at this time. I Have to power it off and then power it on after 10 - 15 minutes to set the volume at the desired level. Pleasae help !
First, check your software firmware version and see if there is an update. If available read your manual how to do a firmware update using your USB port, if you don't have a manual, check Bose.com for their online manual and firmware updates. I had a different problem but the firmware update solved it. Another tip to increase the depth of your bass, while doing the adaptiq process, cover your bass speaker with a pillow, this will make your bass more deeper. You need a second person to cover your bass module with a pillow. in this way, the adaptiq process cannot hear the bass sound and it will increase the bass. You might need to do this several times until you get the desired bass sound. If you have not setup using adaptiq, your better off not using adaptiq, the sound is much better. Hope this helps.

I had my older bose 321 hooked up through vcr and sounded great. Then hooked it up through directv receiver and sounded better. then switched from direct to comcast and hooked the bose up throught the comcast hd receiver and the volume is aweful. same deal, have to crank it up high. Since the stereo built into the tv sounds so much better I disconnected the bose and am going to sell it.

Hey, try this out
-Press Enter and On/Off on the media center , on standby mode
-now hold the enter button pressed and start pressing the On/Off button. You should see a setting display on the player. The setting on display should change from video....till...Hotel Control -ON
- on that position, press the Volume 'minus' button on the media center. It should change to Hotel Control - Off.
Thanks

I had this problem and checked the main wire going from console to bass unit, it was loose from where I had moved the unit to insert another device (RCA Jacks). Apparently if the wire from the unit is loose, it over - rides the volume and by default adjusts it to 30. Additionally, I reset the system console and bass unit console, during this process. Try this, it might fix your problem.
