Question about AudioBahn DUB Mag Audio DUB2502 Car Audio Amplifier

1 Answer

DUB2502 amp I have a DUB2502 amp that I had bridged to two Visonic's 12in Speakers...I'm running a Kenwood stereo and when I turned the radio up past 30 the amp went into protection mode. I've unplugged all the wires except the power wire, ground, and remote and the light stays red...any suggestions?

You probably have the speakers set to where it ecxeeds the ohm load limits. its only 4 ohm stable when bridged and two ohm stable when ran using two channels. so either run the speakers at 8 ohms each parallel or just hook one speaker to eack channel. if you do not know what i am talking about then just email me at [email protected] and give me the speaker specifications.

I have a kenwood jvc kdc-x597. i can't get my amp to turn on. Do I have to have the radio set for sound to come out of all speakers inside car for remote wire on head unit to work?

Buy a cheap 12v circut wire tester and see if your getting juce from the remote wire. Also check fuses. If no juse just tap the radio acc wire and run it to the remote amp wire. Also check your amp ground. Infact first bridge your 12v amp + wire to the remote wire with some pliers or a short wire and see if the amp comes on. That will make sure the amp is not the issue.

I have an alpine mrv-f307 4/3/2 channel. I have it hooked up to 2 12in Kenwood subs. Right now standard 2 channel each sub having their own. I heard doing a series hook up and bridging the subs to the amp ...

Bridging an amplifier refers to combining the power of two channels to run one speaker at higher power. If it is wired correctly, your amplifier is running with 4 channels bridged into 2 speakers now.

How to bridge a kenwood kac-9105d

Are you referring to something like this, using two different amps? It is a mono amp, meaning there's one amp in the box.
"KAC-9105D also has a Dual Mono Drive connection that allows you to strap two KAC-9105D amps together to power a single subwoofer."Quoted fromhttp://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/Amplifiers/KAC-9105D

Here's a link to a page out of the Yamaha Sound Reinforcement book. the top shows a stereo amp (1 box, two different amps inside) hooked up to drive two different speakers, which is known as 'stereo' mode.It then shows the two amps hooked to the opposite sides of the same speaker, which is known as 'bridge' mode.http://books57.net/ampOuts.gif

Any help?

My kenwood KAC-7204--- the wiring is hooked up right, I just got a 2000 watt max sub 1000 watt rms, i was running the amp in bridge mode and it ran for 1 day than it turned off. I checked it and the fuse...

when i was running my sub off bridge mode this kept happening to me. I ended up just running two subs and for some reason the fuse stopped blowing. i think there is something wrong with these amps.

PYLE PT2001X 3300 Watt Professional DJ Power.just had question about running this amp in bridged mode 4 ohms, here's some amp info 3300 watts total power bridged in 1 ch only.1650 each ch in stereo mode...

Hi,

In bridge mode the minimum load will be 8 Ohm.
If you are using 4 Ohm speakers, it will mean you will give each side of the amplifier a 2 Ohm load.
Thats to much for this model.

Kind regards,

Stereo turned off going over bumpy road

if the radio completely shut off chances are that there is lose connection somewhere. If the radi0 (head unit) will not turn off take out the radio and check to make sure there is a secure connection on the yellow and red wires. Also check to make sure a fuse was not blown due to a short.

If an amp will not turn on check the blue or blue/white wire for a secure connection and also check the connections at the amp. Ensure none of the power connections to the amp have come loose.

Kickers shut off

Has nothing to do with the sub's . This is an AMP problem. Best guess is you are running at too low of an impedance. Most likely (sight unseen) you are running a 2ch AMP @ 2 ohms bridged, or if the sub's Dual voice coil you are @ 1 ohm, and most amps frown on that.

Give me some specs..

Amp make, and model.
And EXACT model # of the sub's. Give me this info, and I will tell you how to make it work.

The remote from the amp should be connected to the remote (blue wire) or power antena wire from the radio.
