Check the water filters first. Then check the condenser coils for dust and dirt. Determine which way the air goes thru the condenser coils and check on the side the air goes into. There are coil cleaning sprays that work good. If it is still slow, it may need gas. That will require a service call from a technician.
Your machine makes 900 pounds of Ice every 24 hours if it is running right. If condenser coils are clean, check for water leaking either into the ice bin or into the resevoir. Turn machine off. If water is still coming in, the water valve is leaking. If bin thermostat is not adjusted properly either by location or temp setting, it will not make enough ice. Low freon levels would cause excessive freeze or defrost cycles and unit should shut down and give you an error code if it is equiped with a modern control board. Otherwise, it will just shut down.
Hope this helps
