It is possible that if the compressor is running that it is either low on freon and not cooling or in some instances low on freon and evaporator is froze up - in which case frig will cool again once all the ice has melted on your floor,) Or maybe your compressor is not running - in which case its cheaper to get a new frig for sure. Listen to tell if the compressor is running. If it is, then your frig probably is low on freon. (I don't know if yours is new enough for a timer) Hope this helps you, Rick

Air conditioner blows cool not cold air

- Keep the knob on RECIR and not FRESH.
- Put the air con ON, blower on max speed.
- Open the hood, inspect the inspection window glass located on the liquid line.
- If foam like bubbles are seen, charge the refrigerant gas, till the glass window is seen clear. Never overcharge the system.
- If the problem persists, check the following:
Refrigerant volume
Refrigerant pressure
Heater control base (for Hatchback)
Heater control base (for Sedan)
Air conditioning pressure sensor
Compressor and pulley
Expansion valve -
Air conditioning amplifier
ECM
CAN communication

My whirlpool gold two sided refrigerator, model #6D5RHAXNB00, the refrigerator side is not getting cold enough! I can't feel any cool air coming through the vent on the left upper corner.

your freezer may be iced up not allowing the cold air from the freezer to blow into the frige .you may see a ice build up on the back wall of the freezer.an ice build up can also stop the fan.if you can leave the unit off for 12 hrs or longer to thaw and that helps after restarting you may need to change the defrost timer ,defrost heater or both.a faster way is to remove the covers if you can do that.

First the refrigerator portion lost cooling but the freezer was fine over time the freezer esentially turned into a refrigerator. It is no longer making ice or keeping things frozen, but is about as cool...

the evaporator coil is frozen over and cant release cold air due to this, defrost the unit remove rear panel inside freezer and troubleshoot the defrost heater and thermostat and also make sure the fan near this coil is running, on the evaporator coil as,you cant blow cold air thru a coil covered by ice

Hotpoint side by side refrigerator. Freezer stopped blowing cold air while refrigerator side continued to cool. Freezer was totally thawed when I discovered problem but refrigerator side was still...

Hi

Check the freezer to ensure it isn't over loaded with food stuff; reason being air must flow freely threw out the entire refrigerator in order for the thermostat to work correctly. Also check whether the unit needs defrosting or not. You should also check the coils on the rear of the refrigerator and make sure they are clean and dust free. If you still have problems after trying the above; you may need to call a repair service to come out and check the unit

My air conditioner is not blowing cold air. What can be done ?

look for a couple of things ... if the compressor just buzzes intermittantly but doesnt run then suspect its starting capacitor (small rounded metalic rectangle) .. that has wires connecting it to the compressor .. .. if you can hear the compressor start but it still doesnt cool then you likely need refrigerant added .. thats done by adding a saddle valve service port ... any leaks have to be repaired ..

Refrigerator is not cold

Hi Louis,

This is what has happened. Due to the door being opened for so long moisture which is naturally in the air has collected on your freezer coils. What you need to do is turn the whole thing off for at least 24 hours. Open the doors and put some towels around it to let the frost melt out.
All the air that gets cooled in your unit gets cooled by a fan that pulls air through those coils. Once the frost has melted out of them it should cool just fine.

Refrigerator compartment cools correctly for a few days then no longer receives cold air from freezer. The freezer continues to operate and gets much colder than it should.

does your fan blow? freezers have a fan that pushes cold air to the fridge side if fan is bad freezer will run extremely cold and fridge won't cool down and since frige won't cool down thermostat in fridge doesn't tell compressor to stop

Refrigeration AC not blowing cold air

If you can hear the A/C compressor start and run then your system has lost it's charge of refrigerant. If the compressor does not start and run it could be a control problem.
