Samsung My daughter broke the charger connector (or port, I'm not sure which it is called - it's the little thing you plug the charger onto in the bottom of the phone - in her samsung Snap SCH-U340 cell phone. Where can I buy a replacement part? I have already removed the broken part. (It just pushes or snaped out.) I can't afford a new phone or to pay to have it repaired, but I have nearly the whole two year contract left & zi didn't buy insurance.

It was my daughters fault, she left it on her bedroom floor charging and she or one of the other kids in the house stepped on it. So it wasn't a defective part.

Thanks. Did you puchase the insurance? I didn't, that's why they wouldn't fix hers, besides the fact that it was her fault.

    Wow!!!

I have the exact same problem. It is also my daughters phone. I too went to a Verizon store the first time the clip broke and it took an hour and a half fighting to get a replacement for the phone which was only 2 months old. My daughter takes great care of it and no abuse. The replacement phone had the charging clip broken off in less than two weeks. Verizon claims that they have not had any problems with this issue!!!!! They are sending out a replacemaen, but stated that if there is any physical damage I will be charged for the phone. I am getting close to canceling the plan and going to a new carrier.

Send complaint to your state's consumer affairs. The first time I had this problem, I brought it to Verizon to get it repaired. I was told that it was a common problem, but that they could not fix it. I fought with Verizon and finally received a replacement. This time, I do not have the energy to fight again. I am going to complain to either my state's consumer affairs or attorney general.

Samsung rv510 charging port

The laptop needs to be dismantled completely to get to the motherboard and the charge connector. The connector maybe OK and only needs to be re-soldered to the motherboard. If you do not feel you can DIY, then take it to a computer repair shop.

My env2 wont charge. whenever i plug it in, the battery stays the same. what do i do?

This seems to be a common problem for the env2. If you hold your charger a certain way in the phone does it charger? Is the charger port broken or damaged?

If so the easiest workaround is to get an external battery charger and extra battery to charge the phone.

Check out the following link for information on the battery charger and other options for the env2 charge issue.

Cannot find usb download lead for the Samsung NV7 Digital Camera

The plug-in charger does not come with a usb cable? What i have is a detachable dual purpose usb cable. One that can be attached via usb to the charger and can be connected to any usb port of a laptop or a desktop.

I was wondering because it should come with the package.

The whole thing started when my keyboard stopped working. I unplugged it and plugged in the keyboard from my daughter's computer and it worked - yay! But, not so fast, then my daughter needed her keyboard...

USB port is plug-and-play, however, PS/2 port is not.
therefore, what you have to do is shunt down the computer and plug in the keyboard, then fire up the computer.
once you unpluged the keyboard. and plug it back again, the computer will not recognize the keyboard is attached, but it knows when the keyboard is disconnected.

My daughter's LG EnV charging port

You can get a charger at factorydirectcellular.com. The link is
http://www.factorydirectcellular.com/home/universal/universal-battery-only-charger.htm

The charger charges the battery independent of the phone. It is the only one I have found and it works GREAT. I had a couple issues at first but the rep, Matt, bent over backwards to resolve them. I would recommend this charger and company to anybody. The charger is a universal charger and will charge other cell phone batteries as well. The only con is that it does take a little longer to charge than using the port.

My mp3 will not charge

Eh, probably keep the needles well stowed in the future, and a silicone plug (if you have some spare all-silicone caulk...) in the port at the Sansa's base. You can of course repair or replace the socket; the easiest way is to find the wiring correspondence on the charger cable to the USB port (using a DVM in continuity test mode...and needles, but little force) and concentrate on restoring the position of those contacts so it recharges, epoxying things into place.
Try posting a (link to a) photo of the port, if that's easy for you.

Using a charger for the battery that has you unscrewing it often sounds unsettling, but of course you can. Interstate Battery and such can probably let you on to what they use (it's probably what I see on eBay for $40ish when I search for Li Polymer battery charger .
The low-cost way is to look at the charger descriptions at linear.com (e.g. http://www.linear.com/pc/productDetail.jsp?navId=H0,C1,C1003,C1037,C1078,P9551 or http://para.maxim-ic.com/search.mvp?fam=batt_chrg&hs=1 ) and buy that or a similar product and support components from an components vendor like Jameco.com or Electronics Goldmine, or a local store that has those things, building it to plug onto a spare USB header or port on a computer. You just want to match the charger type to the battery chemistry (LiMH or Li____ will be on the battery as a hint) and rely on the chip to handle all the charging current the smallish battery can take on.

Why won't it charge??

I had a similar problem. I found that the charging port gets a little "stretched" after a while and the plug doesn't make contact the way it should when you insert it. I went and bout one of those universal chargers with the many different connectors and used one that is slightly larger in overall diameter with a slightly smaller hole. It worked fine after that. You can try wrapping the charger cord around the phone after you plug it in to see if it helps. It worked for me for a while but the charger plug eventually broke from fatigue. Hope this helps.
