I68 no MMS

I have purchased an i68 and I can not get MMS text from anyone.
I've tried numerous settings... can someone who has Cingular/AT&T please tell me the settings they are using to receive MMS text?

I can make calls and receive regular text but thats it.

thank you

SOURCE: text message problem with sidekick slide

Well for the past week or so, Sidekick has been having problems with receiving text messages from other service providers such as AT&T and Sprint. It is best that you call up customer service to find a solution.

SOURCE: Unable to text

problem is still there after confirmation of message centre number.
I think the only solution for this problem is to reinstall the software coz this particular problem in N73 is a common one. So am also about to reinstall the software.

I cannot receive any text messages that contain a picture

There are a few things to do that may fix your issue:

1. Delete text messages off of your phone (especially if you have hundreds of texts to one recipient)

2. Go to settings in your "messager" app and reset setting to default.

3. Make sure your APN settings are correct:
Go to "Settings"
Select "More networks"
Select "APN"
Edit your currently used apn...
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: none
Port: none
Username and password are blank
Server: none
Mmsc: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Mms proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Mms port: 80
Mcc: 310
Mnc: 410
Authentication type: none
APN type: default

I just purchased samsung gt-b3310 and it will not allow me to text from the qwerty keyboard. Is there something I need to unlock...what should I do?

WAP Settings:
Menu --> Internet --> Settings --> Browser Profiles --> Options --> Create --> Profile Name: WAP Profile, Home URL: http://att.home, Proxy: check box, IP Address: 066.209.011.032, Port: 8080, Linger time (sec): 90, leave DNS box unchecked, GPRS2_bing.gif --> Advanced Settings --> APN: wap.cingular, Login ID: [email protected] (case sensitive), Password: CINGULAR1 (also case sensitive). Hit "save" twice then "options" then "activate." This will allow you internet access.

MMS settings:
Menu --> Messages --> Settings --> Multimedia Messages --> MMS Profiles --> Options --> Create --> Profile Name: AT&T MMS, Home URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com, check the box next to "proxy", IP Address2_bing.gif: 066.209.011.032, Port: 8080, Linger Time (sec): 90, leave DNS box unchecked, Bearer: GPRS then go to Advanced Settings --> APN: wap.cingular, Login ID: [email protected], password: CINGULAR1 (case sensitive). Hit "save" twice, then "options" then "activate." This will activate your MMS so you can send and receive picture messages.

I cant recieve my text messages using my sciphone i68

first off need to know what cellular provider you are using, 2nd all text or picture text. regualar text is classified as SMS pic text is MMS. You may have a corrupt setting, but ill take a guess and post T Mobile setup. if you use someone else dont use these settings.

SMS Messaging:
1.) From the main screen tap the SMS Text icon.
2.) Tap SMS on the Messages menu.
3.) Tap SMS settings on the SMS menu.
4.) Tap either SIM1 or SIM2 on the SMS settings menu, whichever SIM you are setting
up at this time for SMS messaging.
5.) Tap Profile settings on the SIM1(2) message settings menu.
6.) Tap on any unused profile to select it, then tap the Edit button on the bottom of the
screen.
7.) You should be on the Profile name menu with the name field already highlighted. Go
ahead and tap the Edit button at the bottom of the screen.
8.) Tap in the following text between the quotes in the Profile name editor:
“T-Mobile”
Next tap the Options button at the bottom of the screen. Next tap the Done button.
You should be back on the Profile name menu with the new name.
9.) Tap the area below the profile name. The top of the menu should change to read SC
address and the bottom of the screen should show a numeral keyboard.
Tap in the following text between the quotes in the SC address editor:
“+12063130004”
Next tap the OK button at the bottom of the screen.
10.) A Save? question box should pop up. Tap the Yes button at the bottom of the screen.
You are done setting up SMS messaging for T-Mobile. You can continue
to tap the Back button on the bottom of the screen until you exit out of all
the menus to the main screen, or simply press the On/Off button once to
get back to the main screen. At this point you can test SMS messaging by
sending yourself a text message, or continue with other setup of the
phone.
MMS Messaging:
1.) From the main screen tap the SMS Text icon.
2.) Tap MMS on the Messages menu.
3.) Tap MMS settings on the MMS menu.
4.) Tap Server profile on the MMS settings menu.
5.) Tap either SIM1 or SIM2 on the MMS settings menu, whichever SIM you are setting up
at this time for MMS messaging.
6.) Scroll down the list until you come to Profile 8. You can use any profile if need be, but
profile 8 is usually the first not already filled.
7.) Tap on Profile 8. Tap Edit profile.
8.) Tap just below Rename profile, then tap on the Edit button at the bottom of the screen.
9.) Clear the current text, then tap in the following text between the quotes
“T-Mo MMS”
Tap the Options button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the Done button.
10.) Tap the area below Homepage, then tap on the Edit button at the
bottom of the screen.
11.) Clear the current text except for “HTTP://”, then tap in the
following text between the quotes after the HTTP://
“216.155.174.84/servlets/mms”
Tap the Options button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the Done button.
12.) Tap the area below Data account, then tap Select at the bottom of
the screen.
13.) Tap GPRS on the Data account menu.
14.) Scroll down the list until you come to T-Mo MMS, the data account
set up under the Data Account Services section. Tap on T-Mo MMS
to select it.
15.) Tap the area below Connection type, then tap Select at the bottom of
the screen.
16.) Tap on HTTP, then tap on OK at the bottom of the screen.
17.) Tap the area below Proxy address, use the numeric keyboard at the
bottom of the screen to tap in the following numbers,
“216155165050”. The result should look like 216.155.165.050 under
Proxy address.
18.) Tap the area below Proxy port, use the numeric
keyboard again to tap in the following numbers
“8080” to replace the current 0 value. Then tap OK.
19.) The areas under both User name & Password should
remain BLANK. If they are not blank, select each,
and Edit them by clearing all text.
20.) Next tap the Done button at the bottom of the screen.
21.) A Save? question box should pop up. Tap the Yes
button at the bottom of the screen.
22.) Tap the Activate profile button on the T-Mo MMS menu screen, and you should be
taken back to the Select profile screen where a big green check mark will be beside the
newly saved T-Mo MMS profile.

Hi

The MMS settings for picture messages must be incorrect, who is your phone service provider? have you already given them a call? I'm pretty sure I can find the details for you.

Thanks update
