Okay, I accidentily put a scoop of coffee in the water reservior and now my coffee pot is not working properly. it is making the noise that you usually here at the end of brewing (through the whole cycle) and does not make the twelve cups that i put in.
How do I fix this myself?
thank you
Jill
The whole thing has to be taken apart. remove the two screws on top, disconnect the warmer heater. In the tray remove the brass reducer and gasket. lift out the tray. disconnect the two spade terminals going down to the warmer heater. disconnect the electrical leads to the main element. remove the sprayhead and the nut that is below it. remove the screws that hold the tank in place. pull the whole tank out. it holds three potfulls of water. remove the plastic bushing and gasket pieces for the thermostat. remove the thermostat capillary [ be careful with it] remove the screws holding the element and cover. pull out the element. remove the water and clean the inside. pass the cleaning spring through the main tube.

The pipes are blocked with build up scale or water dirt. You can try to descale the machine by adding in the water half cup of lemon juice and brew it without coffee leave if for 20 min and the clean it by brew it with fresh water these will make a diference then try this again in a week.
I dropped some coffee inside the coffee maker and it got clogged, I took it apart and I found out where the problem was but as soon I took the plastic tube with two small pieces that I believed is the filter, well now that I want to put it back I can't remember how the two small pieces go, please can you tell me how can I do this.
Gevalia does not make coffee pots. The last one I had came from Melitta but with Gevalia's name on it. I got my replacement pot from Melitta. I would not suggest that road - way too expensive. Check Walmart or Target for a Melitta replacement.
i definitely know the answer to this one..... my gevalia glass pot broke one morning. I called the gevalia customer care number and the rushed me out another immediately!
wow! and I thought they would charge me.... I paid nothing! great coffee! great customer service!
