Did you try to hold down the power button on your headset until it blinks and then try to sync to the ps3 again. You have to put he headset into sync mode before attempting to put the ps3 into sync mode

Make sure your Bluetooth is fully charged cause it helps it have a stronger signal and then go to accessories settings and select manage Bluetooth devices and a message will come up, just press ok and your ps3 will begin to scan for a Bluetooth and select it and then you have to put your password key, most models are just like 0000 password key.

How to use bluetooth

A Bluetooth headset has to be registered, or "paired", with your PS3 before it can be used.

  • Make sure your Bluetooth headset is fully charged before you begin.
  • Check your headset instructions for entering "pairing mode". Activate your headsets' "pairing mode" so it can be recognized by the PS3.
  • On the Cross Media Bar (or XMB) of the PS3 go to the "Settings" tab, then down into "Accessory Settings", then down into "Manage Bluetooth Devices".
  • With your headset in pairing mode, follow the onscreen instructions and let the PS3 scan for your headset. When your headset is found, follow the prompts and enter a pass key (if necessary- the default is usually 0000 for all brands). The pairing should now be complete.

Kindly help me connect my samsung HM1100 bluetooth headset to my playstation 3

1) Go to "Settings" on your PS3.
2) Scroll down and select "Accessory Settings."
3) Select "Manage Bluetooth Devices."
4) Select "Yes" when the message "The Bluetooth device has not been registered. Do you want to register?" is displayed.
5)
Turn on your Bluetooth headset when asked by the message "To register (pair), you will need to prepare the Bluetooth device. For information on preparing the device, check the instructions supplied with the Bluetooth device." While each Bluetooth headset is different, for most this means to hold down the power button until the blue light on the device remains solidly lit.

6)
Select "Start Scanning" once your Bluetooth headset is in "pair" mode. Wait for the PS3 to scan for your Bluetooth headset. If the scan was successful, your Bluetooth headset will be listed on-screen. Select your headset from the list

7) Refer to the Bluetooth headset's instruction manual to find the pass key for your device (Usually the pass key is something simple like "0000" or "1234". Press "X" to bring up the on-screen keyboard and enter the pass key. Select "Enter" then "OK." "Register Completed" will display to confirm a successful connection.
NOTE: If the headset does not display after a scan, it may not be compatible with the PS3, or it is not properly set to "pair" mode. Refer to your Bluetooth headset instruction manual for directions to properly set your device to "pair mode."
If you want to check the User Manual for your Bluetooth, simply click on the following link:

I have bluetooth but no instructions and when my ps3 starts scanning it cant find it

Most bluetooth's are the same. You will need to find the button that put's the device into 'discoverable' mode.

There should be buttons on the bluetooth. Some may be hidden so press down on the bluetooth until you locate all the buttons.

Press and hold the 1st button until you hear a beep or the lights begin to flash (when the lights start to flash or change colors, it is in discoverable mode) let go once they begin to respond differently.

Begin your search on your PS3 again.

Repeat these steps if necessary with the other buttons until you get a reaction from the bluetooth.

The default code for most bluetooths are 0000 or 1234. Good luck.

Hi , my friend gave me a madcatz bluetooth ear pierced for me to use for my ps3 ....i been clicking ..settings , then manage bluetooth devices , (every website says i should click "register bluetooth...

You need to put the device into pair mode, consult the instruction manual with how to do that (usually means hold the power button until you get a blue/red flash) when you have the device in pairing mode, when you search it will show up.

The ps3 keeps scanning and wont pair with the headset

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, SOME HEADSETS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PS3. I HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH MY PLANTRONICS 3XXX. I FOUND THE SOLUTION WAS THAT I WASN''T HOLDING DOWN THE BIG BUTTON ON THE FRONT LONG ENOUGH. WHEN I WOULD PRESS THE BUTTON, WHILE PS3 SEARCHED, I WOULD ACCIDENTALLY TURN OFF THE BLUETOOTH.

BE SURE THE BLUETOOTH IS POWERED ON. ONE TAP SHOULD DO.

WHEN PS3 BEGINS TO SEARCH, HOLD DOWN BIG BUTTON, AND DO NOT RELEASE UNTIL PS3 FINDS.

IF THERE IS A LIGHT ON THE BLUETOOTH, IT WILL PROBABLY BLINK A COUPLE TIMES WHEN FOUND. THE NAME OF THE BLUETOOTH WILL ALSO SHOW ON THE TV.

OH YEA, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR PS3 SETTINGS.MAKE SURE IT IS SET TO ACCEPT BLUETOOTH HEADSET CONNECTION.

I want to connect it to my ps3 but its not reading it

Pairing bluetooth devices isn't tricky its just a bit finicky. 1. Go to Settings tab in the PS3 menu. 2.Scroll down and select "Accessory Settings" 4.Scroll down and select "manage bluetooth devices" 5. Select "Register New device" The PS3 will now go into a pairing mode and search for any bluetooth devices. 6. At this point follow the manufacturers pairing instructions for you bluetooth device.
I managed to pair my X3 Micro headset to the PS3.  I had to get on line to find the devices code because I had forgotten it, but after entering the right code the PS3 hooked it up and I have been insulting those who kill me online ever since :P

Connecting bluetooth headset to ps3

You have to do 2 things in order to use a bluetooth headset on your ps3. First you have to pair it with the ps3. To do this you go to your setting and register the bluetooth device. Make sure your bluetooth device is in pairing mode when you do this. On most headsets you can simply hold down the button until the light comes on a solid color. once it is in pairing mode you will have to scan for new devices. Once this is done you should see the headset on the list. Choose it and enter your pairing code. If you have not set one it will most likely be 0000. Once it is it paired you will have to change your audio output and input. Go to audio device settings and change the input and output device to your headset name. Enjoy!
