Another posessed Dacro ECS130

Likr the other two posts our oven began cycling the light at it's own times and eventually stuck in a strobe effect so powered off. The problem comes and goes. I suspect that the touch pad is the answer but where to get one and any one else fixed this yet?

I found a new touch panel (or membrane switch pad) for < $166 athttp://www.myapplianceparts.com/ . The person on the phone at this company was very pleasant and immediatley confirmed that they had 10 of these in stock. This suggests to me that more than a few of these have gone bad. Luckily, they are very simple to replace if you are willing to turn a few screws and carefully pull off the electrical connectors (BE SURE POWER IS OFF BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS). I dissasembled mine in 20 minutes, got the part number (#62682B for my ECS130), and found best price in 20 minutes.

I have the same problem as several other owners of oven ECS130: The light has a mind of its own, turning on and of randomly. Was blufie's problem fixed after a new touch panel was installed?

My oven has remained fixed for 3 months so I am certain the membrane panel was the correct fix, and the install is easy enough. Wish I had dealt with Dacor ;-) but I figured with the oven at 4+ years old they would just laugh me off the phone.

I did find that you can just unplug the small ribbon cable (the one that comes from the membrane panel, has 4 or 5 pins) from the system board connection and disable the light until you can replace the membrane.

I have the same problem and called Dacor yesterday and they know of this general problem and the fix is a new membrane. I told them this was a factory product defect and ask for a membrane to be sent to me at no charge. They agreed and I will change the membrance myself.

High limit switch trips and needs re-set

After grilling or cooking at higher temps leave the oven light on so the cooling fan continues to run for approx 1/4 hour, or whatever setting will keep the fan running...

I want to re-set high temperature limit control, but don't know where it's located

Hello- The reset is located inside the oven at the top. Remove the screws and pull cover. Use a flashlight to find the little red button and push it in with a little screwdriver until it clicks. Should solve this problem. Wish all ovens had this button.     Please acknowledge this post if helpful.  Thanks- Ed

Light goes off and on by itself

I have the same problem with a DACOR ECS 130 and also set the breaker panel switch to OFF to prevent the light from turning on-off or staying on. It might help to unplug the touchpad connector behind the control panel or it may be a problem relay on a circuit board. I've had the problem for several years but will start work on it tomorrow because we do not bake often at my house.

P.S. I'm not an appliance tech but have had problems with the DACOR DM024 microwave( made by SHARP) and the DACOR raised vent. I think DACOR products are junk. The raised vent problem required replacing the entire circuit board!
