I have a indesit w103. It has started leaking although ive checked and the pipes look secure and dont seem perished. Also the drum is banging.ive taken off the back and it bangs when I move around the belt and fly wheel. This is secure to the drum casing .no transit bolts and the springs/suspension seem fine. Is it bearing ? Any advice appreciated

SOURCE: Three day old Indesit washing machine

Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.

SOURCE: machine bangs and jumps all over as soon as the drum starts moves

It is the pulley shaft that has worn out more than likely. Remove the back cover and give the belt a tug or two if there is ANY play at all the shaft has gotten worn on the pulley assy. If it were the bearings I would be surprised as they don't go out nearly as often as the pulley. New pulley and belt should lengthen the life of the appliance considerably. Good Luck

SOURCE: the drum bangs on the spin

Two possibles for this are aloose balance block or cracked drum spider. The front block is most prone to coming loose.
To check spider rotate drum little by little and pull towards you to check for movement.
Post back if further help needed.
Thankyou

My drum is swinging an seems to be pulling to one side and banging the side can anyone help

Remove top cover, and check the 2 springs that hold the drum up, sometimes they can break, or become unhooked.
If they are o/k, then remove the rear cover, and check the 2 shock absorbers from drum to base of washer, make sure they are secure and not loose or broken.
Hope this helps.

Hi.I have a indesit washing machine model W103.It seems to run part way through it's cycle until it needs to drain. The program dial then starts clicking around.Someone suggested that it could be the belt??...

I would say, place a voltage tester on the pump motor wires and see if there is power to the pump. If there is, replace pump as it is defective.(very common problem). If not, your timer is unfortunately needing replacement. Let me know.(This is on the drain cycle when testing).

My Daewoo DSB 091L unit has started to drip condensate from the casing joint underneath the front drainage tray. I have cleaned the blocked drain pipe and proved the water drains away. The condensate drip...

Make sure that the flexible pipe is securely connected to the drainpan, it can come adrift and cause leaking. The way to check this is to make sure everything is dried out completely. Then open the front grill and carefully pour water so that it goes only into the drip pan. Pour slowly so that you do not overflow the pan. If water is coming out on the outside and you have no leaks on the inside, then you can rule out the perished or disconnected drainpipe theory. In this case your unit may be short of refrigerant causing excessive run time and a freeze up of the evaporator.

Indesit widl 126-problem with the drum, moving back and forth to much and noisy.

It would seem that the bearings go on this model, which causes the inner drum to knock and bang against the outer during spin. If you continue to use the machine without replacing both sets of bearings, it will cause irreparable damage and the machine will need to be replaced.

or the three legged spider that attaches to the drum. its made of cheap metal and one or more legs can crack or break letting the drum loose - seems like bearing but isn't! cost about £40
