Have a hp laserjet 4l paper jam problem.No paper is jamed inside.Press the reset button,goes through its cycle process. See the D shape roller sensor working,but no paper is being pick-up.Hear a funny noise from the moter. Any idea

I have had a similar problem. The 4L has an inherent fault in the motor drive gear. It is made of nylon and has probably developed a hair line crack. As a result the gear slips when the printer starts up and tries to feed paper. I have replaced this part some years ago by replacing the whole motor and gear. I did find the replacement parts on eBay today. Here's the url:

The manual is also on line at another place. But when you order the parts you get a manual on CD. I am not the guy selling the parts but need them too that's how I found them.

    I am a "visual" person and need a picture. The repair was straightforward. The part is available from a number of suppliers, I ordered at printerworks.com because I had done business with them before, but the part looks so standard that any supplier should be fine.
    Just my 2c.

Empty cartridge maybe?
Otherwise it's simple: selt-test page(by printer button) printed ok - it's outer problem. Self-page is blank - it's inner problem. And so on... use Golden Section method

I have a HP laserjet P2015dn Printer, i have no idea what is wrong with it, the paper jam light is constantly on when I turn the machine on, the light is not flashing it is constant, ths is not covered in...
Make sure you check the paper path thoroughly. Even a small piece of paper can obstruct a sensor and keep it from moving. Be sure to open the rear door and check the fuser sensor as well. If you still cannot find any obstruction or stuck sensor(s), perform a cold reset as follows:
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Go button.
  3. Turn the printer on, and continue to hold the Go button for at least 5 seconds, but not longer than 15 seconds. During this process, the Attention LED turns on.
  4. Release the Go button.
If both the Attention and the Ready LEDs turn on before you release the Go button, you must start the procedure again with step 1. The printer’s LEDs begin cycling. The cold-reset process runs until completion, and the printer returns to the ready state.

When you removed the paper jam, was the paper torn? If so, did you ensure that you found all the pieces. (Put the piece of paper back together like a puzzle to verify). There could be a piece of paper stuck in the printer that is causing the paper sensor to fail.
The other possibility is that when you removed the paper jam, something became dislodged in the printer. Forcefully removing paper from the printer can cause this.

Paper jam
Remove the toner, and try to gently pull out the paper jam.. If the page gets torn, or ripped, make sure you have all the pieces of the paper removed. Then re-start the printer. Print a test page to make sure the paper path is clear..

Paper light continually flashes won't print
when you lift the cover on the back of the printer there is a thin plastic sensor very delicate normally black in colour which detects whether there is paper in the tray or not.that sensor is slightly moved from its orignal position or broken , so this problem is coming.

Paper LED blinking
Try feeding using bypass, probally worn/dirty/broke paper cassette paper feed roller having trouble feeding the paper in.
