My sound max doesnot work properly.some time i can use it some time it is shown "You cannot use soundmax control panal" and no sound is out from my dekstop. If i Try to remove or reinstall the audio driver from my driver CD I am Getting a massege " The Audio driver files donot support your computer hardware " "note: If you uninstall audio software without restarting your pc,restart now,then run this setup again" my audio is= ADI AD1986A soundMAX 6-Channel High Defination Audio Codec(Support jack sensing technology,,support S/PDIF out Interface) **I am using XP sp2 **Asus A8V-VM **256 DDR1 RAM For solving the problem I was taken the steps: Please reset CMOS defualt by clear CMOS by: 1. Cut the power supply for whole system and ope! n your case; 2. Take out the Cmos battery from the battery socket; 3. Install your battery with "reverse side" that means turn the battery 180 degree and put into battery socket; 4. Hold about 30 seconds, then take out the battery and install it normally; 5. Plug the power cord and Power on. but after 2 days the problem appearing again please suggest me as soon as possible
I dont think that is how you reset your cmos did you check your manual? second i had that same problem it it came after i put vista on my pc but it never worked. when i re-installed xp it worked again my guess is to reinstall xp then see if you can find the drivers off the manufactures website. but you say it works for two days then stops i dont know you could try updating the bios (flashing it) good luck
