I just purchased a 250W Radio Shack PA amplifier. Everything seems to work fine but I can't figure out how to connect a an auxiliary device or CD. There is only one jack for CD/AUX and whatever I connect to it does not go through the amp or be controled by the CD/Aux control knob on the front. How do I connect a CD/Auxiliary device?

SOURCE: Remote Control Extender from Radio Shack

Hi,

To determine if your PC will simply not connect or if really your wireless AP/Router, please download NetStumbler, install and run. The software will determine if there is an AP within your immediate area (including yours/high signal strength), if there is & it is yours, then it is configuration problem, it none or some but weak (low signal/not yours) then it is a hardware problem and would most probably require replacement. Most of the time, the cost/time of repair would make the purchase of a new one more reasonable. If your Wireless Ap/Router was detected by NetStumbler, then perhaps what you need is to re-configure your system/set-up again.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional; information.

Good luck and kind regards.

How can I put my onkyo pa 7sd in aux

To switch your Onkyo PA 7SD amplifier to the auxiliary (AUX) input, follow these steps:
  1. Locate the input selector: Look for the input selector knob or button on the front panel of the amplifier. It is usually labeled with various input options such as "AUX," "CD," "Tuner," etc.
  2. Turn on the amplifier: Ensure that the amplifier is turned on by pressing the power button or flipping the power switch.
  3. Select the AUX input: Rotate the input selector knob or press the corresponding input button to choose the AUX input. The label "AUX" should be indicated on the display or selector knob.
  4. Connect your device: Connect the audio output of your desired device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player, or external audio source) to the AUX input on the back panel of the amplifier. Use an appropriate audio cable (e.g., RCA or 3.5mm) depending on the available input/output ports.
  5. Adjust the volume: Once you have selected the AUX input, adjust the volume knob on the amplifier to your desired listening level. You should now be able to hear the audio from your connected device through the amplifier.

It works fine. How can I get more sound than the built in speakers can deliver?

You'll need not just speakers but amplifier also. This one you can connect to linear output.

PA Amplifier blows fuses

The fuse is blowing due to an overload. It's often and very likely caused by a transistor or ic that has gone short. The main culprits are the power transistors of the amp or whatever is on the big heat sink. Transistors will show the fault when you connect an ohmmeter to the terminals. It will be just like you have touched the test prods together! I don't think in your case it will be in the power supply. It's often caused by speaker cables that touch together.

Put new pa speakers in church 2 1000 watt tied 2gether and 2 300 watt. tied 2gether. the pa amp only has 250 watts with 6 mics connected and a cd player which plays fine. every time the mics are used if...

hi,
You have to check the ohms of the speakers all spekers should be 8 Ohms or above. if not it will overload the amplifier at high level. The minium ohms impedence of the amplifier is 4 ohms. If you connect two 8 ohms speakers together then the effective ohms will be 4 OHMS then the amp will handle the speakers. If you connect two 4 ohms spekers together then the effective ohms will be 2 Ohms, this will overload the amplifier. You will be able to connect two 8 ohms speaker to left channel or right channel of the amplifier. Check the speaker spesifiction to know its ohms. Make sure all the speakers have an impedence of 8 OHMS or above
