I would suggest replacing the roller then. Laser printers are fully serviceable unlike inkjet printers which have a set life span. You should contact HP and describe the error and they can make you a recommendation on the parts (or service kits) required to remedy the issue.

This sounds like bad jetdirect card causing it..problem is new HPs have them integrated and they can not be replaced. If a firmware update does not fix it, then a call to HP would be the best bet

Very few printers will print if they're out of toner, even if the colour toner is exhausted and the print job is only black. Replace the empty toner and if this is the only problem, the printer will continue printing.

I had the same problem and it was the pick-up roller that was at fault. You can buy a new one for less than 20GBP or do what I did. Take the old one out and reverse the rubber. There are plenty of online tutorials on how to change the pick-up roller - the first one you remove. It's a two minute job. Reversing the rubber is easy. Just prize the inner clip out of the roller and put the rubber back on with the shiny side out. It worked first time and no more print errors. I just replace two color cartridges in my HP CP2025 (black and cayan). Now my color copies are coming out with black ink smudges all over them. Any ideas?

My CP2025 is printing blank pages it says replace supplies but everything is replaced....any ideas?

This is a problem with the toner cartridge, check the code at the end of the error message and that will tell you which toner is defective.

Hi vgde2004: Here are some things to check.

1. The printer is in manual feed mode.
Possible solution: Change the manual feed setting in "printer properties"
2. The door is open,the media is out,the toner cartridge is installed incorrectly,or the paper is jammed. Check paper path.
3.Fan error
Solution:
1. Check fan cables for looseness.
2. Replace fan assembly
