Washer stops during rinse cycle and isn't easily restartable....

The washer stops during the rinse cycle. It will not restart easily by pushing the knob in or out. It takes several minutes of turning the knob and jiggling it and even starting the spin cylce then going back to the rinse cycle. Any suggestions?

Washer starts spin cycle, then stops, them waits a little, and then starts, and does this often.

Sounds like the contacts in the timer has a problem. Unplug washer. Remove the back of the washer and spray WD40 in the timer. Put towels around and under to to collect excess runoff.
Rrotate washer dial 25 times and spray some more wd40. Rotate 25 times again. Do a wash load. If it works put everting back together.

During rinse cycle, washer just stopped, and won't continue rinsing/drain/finish

Have you tried restarting the cycle? If so, does it stop at the same exact place in the rinse cycle? If so, the issue is most likely the timer mechanism (cycle control) that needs replacing.
If it doesn't stop at the same place, it may be a flaky lid switch.

Frigidaire front loading washer stopped at rinse cycle. 3 beeps

When in doubt check the easiest thing to check. The pump can cause a number of errors to come up. Since the unit stopped in rinse I would start but checking to make sure there is nothing obstructing the pump before going to the expensive parts.
