Take apart the unit at the top (Behind the cleaning fluid container) Inside there is a wire coming up from the motor at the bottom of the unit. This can come unlpugged no longer powering the scrub brushes. Simply slip the wire back on the plug.

To open: remove all visible screws from top half of machine. Remove the rubber mode dial by pulling off, and remove screw behind that. Pull the front off, and the power plugs are located right on the inside of the machine by the mode dial

The brushes are not spinning at all. I have checked them and they are snapped in securely. It was working fine last time I used the machine. I have cleaned them and they spin manually just fine.

you probably got a piece of foreign material jambed in there for a moment and it "smoked the belt" that spins the brushes,it will either have the belt on either side of the brush housing cylinder or like kirby vacs the belts around the cylinder and if broken it will be hanging there.good luck

Troubleshoot floormate spinscrub 800 floor cleaner

The brushes are not designed to scub the floor, they only lightly touch the floor. Make sure the front nozzle is put on correcdtly. Make sure your filter is dry and clean. I wet filter will give poor suction down to the nozzel. Down load the manuel at Hoover.com. The model is located on the back of the unit. H3000, or H3010

My brush assembly fell off!

They lock into that blue arm with the two holes in it. The erm is plastic and has the spring loaded latches that hold the brushes in. If the latches have failed the brushes won;t stay in. The other option is the latch pins on the brushes have brocken or worn out. Turn the machine over and try to make the brushes latch, also push the brush release buttons several time to make sure they are working. Good-luck.

H300 brushes won't stop spinning even though I switch it from "wet scrub" to "wet/dry pickup" and is leaving streaks on the floor. I have already ordered a new squeege, but that won't take care of the...

Make sure you REALLY pull the lever controlling the brush spin all the way up. On mine I REALLY need to force it to the top. If I don't use enough force and it's just a tiny bit below the top, the brushes continue spinning. I wish it was easier to flip from one mode to the other but mine has always been "stiff". Hope this helps. It took me a while to figure it out. Once you get the hang of using it, it works GREAT!

Brushes stop spinning after one minute

Check any filters that may be clogged, try running a mix of water and vinegar thru it, to clean out the lines and brush block. Brush block may be bad.

Spin Scrub Brushes won't turn

If the brushes quit spinning, either the brush block shaft that goes into the turbine broke off, or the turbine is bad. This unit is tricky to take apart and then put back together again. But pull the brush asm off, then start taking out screws. But if after you pull off the brush block, look up where you will see a small square hole, turn unit on and if not turning, usually the turbine is the cause and will have to be replaced.
