Razr v3 dead battery

The battery to my Razr v3 phone went completely dead today. Now it will not charge but the number pad lights flash. The charger works on another phone. My phone also works with the battery from the other phone in it. What can be done to correct this problem?

I've turned off my motorola razr phone and i plug in charger. it shows that it charging but never says charing complete. i have left it for 1 day oevernight to charge and never says charge complete.

This is a sign of a battery nearly dead (or dead already). Consider byuing a new one and everything will be fine, moreover the standbytime will improve significantly.

Razor phone won't charge

Hi, I had the same problem with my Old Razor, I bought a new battery and that fixed the problem.
New Batteries for Razors are around £6 - £7 online. google it.

Screen and keypad.

well, there is no much to do in there, either the charger, the battery , or the phone is dead.

Try removing battery from inside and then put everything back, and try restarting it again, after charging for ten minutes.

If it still does not work, and the phone is new, call the number on the phone booklet, and ask if you can take your new phone to an authorized shop for a checkup, if it is a faulty charger or battery, they usually replace them on the spot.

My battery went dead this morning i charged it this evening and it is just showing a battery and timer wont switch on or charge??

from what I hear, you have either fully charged your battery or your battery is pretty much completely dead.

your options:

1. If it's completely dead and won't hold a charge it's time to purchase another battery, this happens from time to time so don't freak out about it.
2. If it's fully charged, try taking the battery completely out of the phone, and re-inserting it after a few minutes, sometimes cell phones need to be reset.
3. ensure that your charger is working properly, if its not getting juice to it neither is your phone.
4. try to dial your number just to see what happens to the phone.
5. if someone else u know has a charger like yours try to borrow theirs to charge your phone possibly ruling out a bad charger

No power

Make sure you have an original OEM charger for the MDA. Many of the knock off chargers don't provide the right amperage for the device. What happens is that since the phone is completely dead, it can't regulate how many amps the battery should get during the charge and an incorrect charge current won't charge the battery. I'm guessing that someone sold you a Motorola RAZR charger or another knockoff made for the RAZR. This might charge your phone when the battery is working, but not when it's DEAD. Also you won't have luck plugging it into a computer USB cable because, again, the phone can't tell the computer what charge to send and most computers only produce <0.5 amps in the USB port.

Get a charger that states it is an OEM (original eqipment manufacturer) device or one that is specifically designed for the MDA (or Cingular 8125). eBay is full of them.

Bad charger (probably won't work for a dead battery)

Good Charger (correct amperage and designated for the MDA)
