I didn't receive the sausage attachment

Good morning Deborah.

The route to satisfaction will depend on the circumstance of expecting the sausage attachment. If the Mixer was supposed to have the attachment included in the same box, your best bet is to call the manufacturer help line and just say you have a missing part. Get the UPC/bar code from the box, and be ready to quote back any printing on the box like 'Includes Rock Crusher, Turnip Turner, and Sausage Attachments'. It's not all that uncommon for boxes to be mis-packed, especially if it's being done by new-hires brought on in anticipation of holiday sales volumes. Most manufacturers will be pretty cooperative in getting missing parts sent to you.

If the sausage attachment is a separate item, say included as a special deal of 'buy the mixer, get your choice of sausage maker, cheese grater, or kitchen fan attachment' and this was shipped to you, it's pretty likely that the accessory part was shipped separately, and possibly not even from the same place. Call the vendor you bought from, tell them the situation, and ask them to confirm shipping. Sometimes, a special may generate more enthusiasm than expected, so the answer might be 'um, we sold out on the sausage maker, it'll ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Some places will be proactive in contacting you about this sort of thing, others will 'notify' you by changing the response to tracking inquiries from 'shipped 2 days ago' to 'backordered'. If you bother to check.

I recommend calling over e-mailing, if possible. Make sure you ask the name, or employee number, of anyone you talk to, so that you have a record of names, responses, and such in the event you need to escalate up through supervisors or managers.

Good Luck!

What is the error code b-in

It's meant to tell the operator that the bowl is not in proper operating position. If the bowl is in the proper position then the bowl in switch may be bad.

My brand new KitchenAid Food Processor 5KPM50 doesnt start

If it indeed is brand new call Kitchenaid and tell them about it. They will ask for the serial number which is underneath the mixer. If it is less than one year old they will send you a new one. 800-422-1230

Make sure that the outlet you are using is good by plugging something else into it!!

Hi. Your mixer should still be under warranty. Call Kitchenaid Customer Service and tell them your story. If you tell them that you tried to fix it by spreading the arms, your warranty will be deemed void. Kitchenaid is usually very good at replacing under warranty. If you found this solution helpfull, pleas rate it Good luck! ricardok45

Re kitchen aid mixer . I was making bread dough with the lock on. Just when i was going to shut it off I hurt a click and then the paddles stopped turning. The motor runs but with a funny nose but it will...

Hi. Don't try to use the mixer anymore, and don't take the planetary off as the problem isn't there. If your mixer is still under warranty, call Kitchenaid, they are good at responding to mixer failure if it's under warranty.

If you're out of warranty remove the single screw to take off the silver band near the top of the mixer. The screw is at the back of the mixer. Next, remove the 4 screws that hold on the top cover. Remove the top cover and locate the transmission housing (it will be a black/gray plastic humpy looking thing) near the front of the machine. Look for cracks in this housing. you can do this without taking it off. If It's cracked, you have found the first problem, and it's a problem that many Kitchenaid owners, including me have had. This plastic transmission housing has no business being in a machine that you paid top dollar for. Their replacement housing is now made out of metal.

A word of warning, and customer service won't tell you this. As managment at Whirlpool Corp. told me. Even if my mixer was out of warranty. they may have repaired it for free, if only I had not taken it apart. So if you've found a cracked Trans. housing, put the cover back on, put the silver band back on and call Kitchenaid customer service. Tell them about your problem. Don't tell them that you took the cover off. They will tell you that because you are out of warranty, all they can do is refer you to one of their authorized repair centers.

If you take it to the repair center, ask for a quote, they will look at it and see the cracked trans. housing, then they will take the housing off and find that the worm gear has been destroyed and possibly the shaft bearings too, they may also find that the bearing seats have been damaged (as in my case). They will tell you about the damage and give you a quote about how much it will take to fix it. Then is the time to contact Customer Service again and demand to speak with a supervisor and tell him/her about the cheap plastic housing and the damage IT caused. Tell them that you want to be reimbursed for the damage caused by this flimsy part. They will argue with you. Ask to speak with management.
If they refuse, contact me at [email protected] and I may be of further help to you.

If you have found this solution helpfull, please rate it. Good luck!...You're going to need it ricardok45

Year manufactored

If you call your nearest Hobart Parts place they can tell you. If they refuse this simple request, log on to www.hobartservice.com and look in the discontinued products menu, select Food Machines then Mixers and sift through the files until you find the documentation for serial numbers/dates. The lists are not complete and stop in the late 1980's. If you're lucky, you can find out which plant manufactured it, as the first two digits of the serial number indicate where it was built. The serial numbers are not in code, so it's relatively easy to get a date if you do the math. While you're there, download the manuals for parts and operation. You won't find the service manuals..."Top Secret"! Good Luck! Ricardok45.

Hobart hl600 mixer

I know what these codes are: code 19 is that phase c is over current fault and code 23 is a motor stall fault.I would start by making sure you 3 phase wiring going into the mixer is there.I service these mixers as im a service tech for hobart.these units are very detailed and i can walk you thru some things to check but if you have an electrical problem you most likley will have to call a hobart service tech because we have special equipment to diagnose the fault.let me know it may be something simple as these mixers are usally maintenance free.
