This clearly is some kind of device configuration problem..Open control panel->sounds and audio devices->voice Now click on test hardware and tap on your microphone and see if the sound meter is showing changes..then click next and tap again and see if you are able to hear it in your speaker. If you cannot just download the latest device drivers for your sound card and that should fix the problem! Also you can download latest drivers for your webcam here http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SCANNER-Digital-CAMERA-WEBCAM/LOGITECH/Logitech-QuickCam-Communicate-STX.shtml Try both of these and hopefully you will get it working!

When playing Halo Reach online I cant hear any friends in custom playlist. This is both in game and in lobby. If we join a chat party then we can hear each other fine though. When in matchmaking I can hear...

Depending on which type of chat session you are connected to... everyone needs to be in the same chat menu. Sometimes when switching from game chat to party chat you might still be stuck in game chat while others are in private chat or visa versa.

To talk to only players in your game: Press the Guide button, then select Party, Party Options, Chat Channel, and Game Chat.

To talk to only members of the party: Press the Guide button, then select Party, Party Options, Chat Channel, and Party Chat.

To mute an individual: Press the Guide button, then select Party, the player's gamertag, and Mute.

It is a possibility that you are not in the same chat session with your friends. they might be in a party chat with others while you are in game chat. (note you can only have a max of 8 people in one party chat) Or you might still be in a party chat (that everyone else has left) and they are in game chat.

My Turtle Beach Headset P11's are brand new, everything is plugged in correctly, as I can hear my friends talking when in a party together, however when I talk they can barely hear me if they can even...

Double check that you are all in the same party. If you are not in the party and they are you will sound very quiet to them. It almost sounds like you are in the background. So go and make sure you can join the party. If that does not solve it go into your settings and double check that mic volumes and everything are all up.

I can hear the other party but I can't hear them. it says that my mic is mute....how do I undo this?

You mean "I can hear the other party but they cant hear me"

Skype probably didnt change your microphone.

Go to Skype Tools>Options>General>Audio Settings and on the Microphone dropdown menu, make sure your headset is selected. If it's installed correctly and you talk into it, you should see the volume bar start moving. Click save and start talking!

This is assuming you've already gone into sound proporties in windows and made your headset the default microphone and checked the volume settings on it.
