Volume button sticks and raises to max level and cannot be turned down.

It sounds from your description there is a fault in the audio section electronics rather than with the button.

Power button won't turn radio off

I've got the same problem. All other functionality is fine, however I can't turn the unit off once I've turned it on. I can use the power button to adjust volume, just not turn it off, so I have to unplug it to get it to turn off.

The back light won't turn on and the volume is turned all the way up but the buttons won't work for me to turn it down. I had to take the whole thing out

Assuming your deck is a kdc 516s the flexible cable that goes from the face to the main motherboard is probably bad. If you are not good at desoldering and soldering. , I would suggest you have it replaced by a professional.

Hi, I have a LXT380/385. I find out haw to turn

I had the same issue here is the quote from the owners manual: To increase/decrease the volume level, press the up or down button during RX or STANDBY mode. With both radios on the same channel hold down the transmit or "PTT" button--this will put the other radio in the RX mode. While holding down this PTT or side button on one radio then you can adjust the volume on the other radio using the up or down arrows. (This is how you do it on RX mode. I'm not sure yet how to enter Standby mode.)

Have Talkabout 250 and want to turn off the beeping. any ideas

The following instructions are for the T289, which is very similar to the T250. It is possible they will work to turn off your beeps.

Alert Tones

The Alert Tones (beeps) on the Talkabout radios are set at a fixed volume

level and cannot be lowered. However, Alert Tones can be disabled. When

Alert Tones are disabled, the radio will receive messages at the volume

setting you've selected, but you will not hear beeps when you press control

buttons.

Disabling Alert Tones:

1. Hold down the Monitor button while you turn radio on.

2. To re-activate Alert Tones, turn the radio off, then on again while holding
the Monitor button down.

My delphi xm is frozen

My radio was stuck on "scanning media" and the regular reset (volume up and Mode) did not work.
Nothing that I did, fixed it...
I called Delphi and they said...
(1) Put radio in it's cradle, press Volume UP/Mode buttons for 3 seconds until it resets.
(2)Then when the "scanning media" message appears press up arrow, down arrow, up arrow.

My delphi screen unlocked. I LOST everything that I had recorded, but that was fine with me.

I had to update the firmware and everything is working fine.

Losing all my recorded songs was much better than having to send in my radio!

Hopefully this will work for you!
Delphi was extremely helpful and very nice so don't be afraid to call them if this doesn't work!
