Old Blodget 100 convection oven needs DMB51 Malfunction Timer, can I bypass till new comes in in two weeks

Normally, it would just be a case of buying a new timer, but this model is so old, very few spares are available. You would need to look at the wiring behind the timer and see if you can just bypass it altogether. You could try Simpson / Electrolux direct for a timer, wiring diagram, or suggestions. It hard to tell, please let me know what did you see and hear when turn on oven...

It sounds as if the electronic clock/timer has failed and needs replacing. If you don't use the timer and don't need the clock it can be bypassed so that the oven will still work. A repair person should be able to do this fairly easily.

The magnatron is cooked or timer and/ or wire inside. If it is older, buy a new one. The repair cost on it is not worth it. Proabally over 100 bucks to start

I'll need a model # & serial # from the oven, if you cant find it behind the control panel inside left then, remove the bottom panel where the burners are & look inside it. Last resort, send pictures of parts needed and I will match them up with my parts manual. [email protected]

did they sell you a broken one?

brand new??? under a year old??? if so you have a warr call for service, but it sounds like an ignitor isssue, brand new , perhapsgot damaged in shipping 1-800-ge-cares
