I would bet your system has been overheating - that's why it kept shutting off. Now it may have overheated and killed your CPU or mainboard. These laptops require quite a bit of disassembly to get at the CPU. You will probably have to take it to a repair shop for further work.

My computer wont boot up the fan and light turn on for a second then goes right off....

With the little bit of information presented, it appears that this is possible a power supply problem. One thing you can try is to unplug the power adapter from the laptop, remove the battery, then plug the power adapter back into the laptop. Then try to turn it on. If everything comes up normally, then the problem points, potentially, to the battery.
Hope this helps!

Batery hang problem

batteries have a charge memory in the, when you purchase a new battery the best thing to do is to fully drain the battery before charging it up, this will tell the battery that it needs full charge, if you charge the battery before this it will only charge the battery to a certain percentage.
what you need to do now is find a way to fully discharge the batteries

kind regards

Compaq NX9110 problem

Is the system set to hibernate? If so I would disable that function. Is it exactly 30 minutes or just a rough guess? Also check and see if there is an issue with StandBy.

Compaq NX9100 - Does not turn ON...

Take it down to bare bones (power adapter, mother board, memory and display). If it still acts the same way, it's probably the mother board. ;o(

No Lights On But Fans On

I would start by using only 1 stick of RAM this sounds like symptom of a failing ram card or occasionally ram socket. The RAM is on the bottom of the laptop under the middle panel.

If you have 2 chips try each chip individually in each socket.

If it was turning itself off it was probably overheating - i see the fans gets clogged on this series all the time. You may want to blow it out with a can of compressed air.

Let us know if you need more help.
