I fixed one. Unscrew the 4 screws in the corners of the screen which are under little rubber grommets. I used a small watchmakers screwdriver. Pry the front pannel off (it will unclip, but be careful). Without this on, it worked straight away. I suspected it was an insulation problem. I got some cigarette papers and placed them over the contact areas of the phone, be liberal with it. Then, I closed it back up and rescrewed it....cliped the excess paper, and it worked fine!

My sgh-u900 the screen is black but the keypad lights still turns on how do i fix it..

you could try taking it apart but most likely youll need a replacement screen. You should take it to your service provider ie verizon at&t sprint, etc. and they should either fix it or replace it usually for free or on a good deal :) Derek

Motorola razr screens (small & main) are black and keypad will not light up. Phone still works though.

Hi,What causes the phone the screen of the phone to go black and the keypad light not coming on, is because the flex of the phone that is connected to the screen and allows the keypad to function is bad and will need to be replaced .When you replace the flex, the phone will work properly again.

Screen goes black and phone freezes.

Jessikah - take the phone and have the Flexcable replaced.

Captmartin53 - You need to reflash the phone's firmware for you.

Razr- turning on camera makes screen turn black but keypad stays lit

the easiest thing tpo do here is take it to a professional but if you want to try updating your software off the Motorola website. (this require a data cable or bluetooth in your computer) This fixes a lot of software problems with the razor. If this doesn't work then you will have to reflash your Firmware which is like the Windows Xp of the phone. This does require a professional as it can destroy the phone
