Strange rainbow.reenish type effect

Did you notice any better picture when you play a movie on a DVD player or using a flashdrive on this TV? Is the picture quality better? Or is it the same? Try to check another cable connection or try to play TV channel thru internet. The last option in this case is to show a TV mechanic for he would better understand which part to order.

Has a double picture and looks rainbow

A double pcture with two different colours??? more seriousely the rainbow effect could be of an appature grill un hooked in one of the three tubes (THIS IS DANGEROUS IT COULD IMPLODE) you should have a proffessional looke at it and you should NOT USE OR MOVE the TV until then.

My son was bouncing a small ball against the screen and then it went to looking like a rainbow. Would this be the picture tube?

He may have caused some type of damage to the picture tube, but usually rainbow effects happen when magnets are present. Perhaps the ball became charged with a large amount of static, which then discharged across the tube, damaging the controlling circuits.

I have a five month old Samsung LN32B360 LCD TV I just turned in on and the picture came on but it had a rainbow look and then the picture goes off with sound only?

When you say 'rainbow look', do you mean vertical coloured lines on the screen? If so, then you will have a faulty Tcon. Could you get a snapshot of the fault and post it on here please then we can identify the problem more easily.

Philips HD/TV rainbows the picture at the bottom of set.

Hi, the convergence circuit is getting ready to fail, fix it NOW and you may get away with just resoldering the STK`s, soon they will overheat and short then it`s going to be 250-300 to fix it depending on your area rates, gl, video-tek

Sony Trinitron Color Rainbow

Usually when a tv is dropped the phospher screen inside the picture tube will detatch making the rainbow color This cannot be fixed as it requires changing the picture tube. Only other thing is demagnatize it with a demagnitizing coil (used by tv techs) but not likely to fix it since it was dropped. You have a bad picture tube.

Rainbow picture

The tube needs to be degausse you had maybe placed speakers beside the tv causing it to magnetize have a tech look at it to remedy the problem.good luck.
