What kind of speakers? It could be the connection to the speakers.

If you have a head set try that and if they work then the speakers are bad.

Go to the control panel and click the SOUND icon. A check should be next to the speakers and headphones.

Click the speaker in the lower right corner, make sure the speaker does not have a red x.

Make sure that all of your software / drivers are up to date for your sound card. Make sure that your speaker power is plugged in (if it has external power). Also check to make sure that all of your audio sources are un-muted. ( Speaker on taskbar / control panel settings, as well as the sound settings from the program you are using.

Connect to computer

On the back of your computer should be an audio out jack, generally marked Green. You can get a 3.5mm jack plug to two RCA plugs. The jack plugs into the green socket and the two RCA into an Aux/CD socket of the Denon. If you have other speakers connected to that Green Socket you can get a headphone splitter socket and plug that into the green socket.

I need a driver for a Maxell FPS-2 Flat Speaker System

You do not need a driver for these speakers, all you have to do is plug them into the sound card on your computer. If the speaker audio cable is colored green, then you should just be able to connect it to the green plug on the back of your computer. If not, what does the audio plug/jack look like?

Yes you do! Simple speakers with one jack plug into the green jack plug connector either on the front or at the rear of your computer.

No sound from external speakers system

Look into your monitor settings and computer settings and see if you can reverse the "input" and "output". If both are set to line in or line out then they pretty much cancell themselves out.

No sound

2 things to check.
  1. Make sure if speakers have a power adapter that it is plugged in. That should give you the green light.
  2. Where the speakers plug into the computer there are multiple places in a row to plug it in. One is a microphone input, one is audio input, and 2 are for speakers (depending on the sound card you have). Try plugging it in different ones to see if sound works.

I am a computer dummy...How to I connect speakers for sound like music in my computer?

The end of your speakers should have a green plug, on the back of your computer there is a green port. Insert the green plug into the green port. If you have a power cord for your speakers you need to plug that into the wall.
Please rate my answer, and good luck.

Motherboard sound issues

Hi antlob,
Normally one would think something is wrong but if you look at page 2-23 in you're manual you'll see you're using the wrong plug-in (Lime green) (Rear). Plug you're spreaker jack into the
(Black sound out jack). See if that makes a differance?
To fine tune you're sound you can open Asus/RealTek sound effect manager listed in control manager. This program has connector sensing software & other goodies.

Enjoy!
