Says sytem been tampered with code 0176

0176 error meaning the system cover had been opened. To fix this error, you need to enter CMOS setting or BIOS setting. press F10 to save before exit. Then the error will be gone.

Did you ever open the system cover before this error happened?

ERROR 51A2 SYSTEM COVER HAS PROBABLY BEEN OPENED - I NEED TO RESET THIS ERROR CONDITION

Go into the BIOS and disable the error message unless you are not the owner of the computer or you care when someone has opened the case.

51A2 System Cover has probably been opened.

The chassis intrusion detsctor has been set off. You'll need to look at your owners manual for the steps to reset it. Good luck and hope this helps.

Dell 922 "cover open" problem / error message

I had that problem too.

Unplug the printer.
Hold the printer cover open while you plug in the printer.
Then close the printer after it powers on.

It worked for me.

I hope there an option in the BIOS that could disable chassis intrution detection. Please check the BIOS settings....
