If its going to your carriage service provider message bank then you need to reset this for a longer period. The carrier message bank is managed by the carrier.

If the cordless has an answering service, then you need to scroll through the menu on the phone to select answering functions and select 6 rings or longer.

this feature is set by your carrier. Call customer service and ask them to extend rings to 6 - 8.

hi, im not sure on your exact model but you need to change the call diverts, so its something like this,
1 go into settings
2 call settings
3 call diverts
4, no in here it has options like divert when busy, etc etc, it should also divert when not answered, click on this and choose status and it will tell you what its set to, then it should give you the option of changing the settings, some let you change to 30sec before answer, give me a shout back if you get stuck and ill find out how the menu works on your phone and talk you through the process

Our phones only ring 4 rings before going to message bank. We have a telstra wall connection, and 3 panasonic KX-TG1840AL
Hi,

You can change the number of times the phone rings before the unit answers calls.
You can select 2 to 7 rings, or “Auto”.

“Auto”: The unit answers after 2 rings when new messages have been recorded, and
after 5 rings when there are no new messages. If you call your phone from
outside to listen to new messages, you will know that there are no messages when the phone rings for the 3rd time. You can then hang up without being charged for the call.

1 Press OK.
Select “Answer System”, then press >(Right navigation button).
2 Select “Settings”, then press >.
3 Select “Number of Rings”, then press >.
4 Select the desired setting, then press >.
5 Press End button

2 second ring time then to message bank - need to know how to extend
Your cell phone carrier controls that. To you it only goes off twice you should find that the caller hears 4-5 rings before going to voice mail. Either way call "611" and talk to the tech department to see if they can help. Call from a different phone.

This is a network specific setting. Type into phone (what iws written in the right box).

Set number of rings **61*YourVoiceMailNumber**N#@

YourVoiceMailNumber = your voice mail numer
N = Ring Time (up to 30sec)
@ = Send/OK button on your mobile phone

Rings a couple of times then goes to message bank
that's controlled by your service provider, give them a call, they may be able to control the amount of time before it rolls to the message bank.  If it's a GSM phone, you can set that yourself, like so:
  1. To get the current call forwarding status, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.
  2. Write down the number(ignore the +1), this is the phone number that your calls are currently being diverted to.
  3. Enter **61*number*11*[delay]#[SEND] into your phone using the phone number (numbers only) as reported by the status & the delay can be set to (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30) seconds.
  4. To verify that the settings are correct, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.

You may have activated a "Caller tune" or "Ring back tone" service. Check with your service provider to deactivate the tune.

WDSS5315 old phone functioned perfectly well until today when it no longer allows input of numbers and cannot be disconnected when a call comes in. no error codes. Just stopped being able to dial out mid call. Receives calls, but can't make any. Can't conclude a call pressing red end call key. Battery fully charged.
