Check with the management office for your gated community and ask your questions. There may be a specific gate opener you need and a specific code, which the management staff will provide.

open the back of the remote and see what the "dip" switches are mark...1-4 are settings maybe more and make sure the settings for the opener in the rear of it are set on the same configuration. Hope this fixes the problem.

There is a square button on the powerhead,

Press and hold for 30 seconds. This will clear ALL codes from th unit

Then reprogram the remotes. Press and release the squre button, press and hold the button on the remote for about 15 seconds, The next time you press the remote the door should move,

This indicates that the safety sensors are mis aligned. You can re align them by hand. There should be an led light on each sensor and each should be on, not flickering or off, no matter the color. Also check the surface they are mounted to for stability. For instance if they are mounted to the track and the track moves as the door cycles then you will have issues. There should be a programming button on the door motor. Press that button and then press the button on the remote to program. Assuming they are compatible. If that doesn't work I will need the model number of the door opener and remote.

You may need a C943 as the + can make the siginal different.[Chambelain or Merlin]
