My HTC windows 8 4g phone shows 2 spinning wheels on the screen. This screen is frozen. What do i need to do?

If your HTC HD2 is frozen and a soft reset doesn't work, this guide shows how to restore your handset to its factory settings with a hard reset
There are two ways you can perform a hard reset on your HTC HD2. The first is best if your phone is still operational. If it has crashed and you can't get a response from it, you're better to try option two.
Performing a factory reset via the settings menu

1. On the Home screen's Settings tab, select Menu - All Settings - System - Clear Storage
2. Enter 1234 and tap Yes to confirm

Performing a factory reset using phone buttons

1. If your phone has crashed and won't respond, you'll have to perform a battery pull to power the phone off. Simply take off the back cover and remove the battery. Otherwise, just turn your HTC HD2 off using the power button.
2. With your phone powered off, press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons
3. While holding the volume buttons, press the power button and then release it
4. When you see a warning message on screen, release the volume up and volume down buttons
5. Press the volume up button to perform the reset when prompted, or press any other button to cancel the reset

How to reboot the HTC HD2 with hard reset

All you need do is to HARD RESET the phone.
1. Press down the volume up and down button
2. Briefly press the power button still holding down the volume button
3. release the volume button when the screen flash a reset instruction menu, then press volume down butoon to reset your device.

2. Hold Power Button for 30 Seconds
3. Reboot Phone - Power on

Most likely your downloaded an app that has currupted a file in your phone.

PLease do a hard reset on the phone and here is how you do it .

1. Turn the phone off. If it's frozen or unresponsive, pull then replace the battery.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and power the phone back on.
3. Continue to hold Volume Up and Volume Down until a factory reset screen appears.

#1 power cycle phone - check for proper operation. If not - do:
#2 power down phone, then remove battery for 10 minutes
reinstall battery, power up phone, and re-check for proper operation. If not, do:
#3 contact customer service - just because your cell phone browser locked up (crashed) shouldn't

The problem you are experiencing with your phone is due to the fact that the windows operating system running on your phone has either jammed up/crashed,hence its experiencing errors while trying to load the operating system.

Here is a solution to your problem;

1.Put off the phone completely.

2.Remove the back cover and take out the battery.

3.Re-insert the battery and put it back on.


4.The problem ought to be solved by now,but if it persists it means the final solution is to re-run the operating system on the phone,which can only be carried out by a qualified software engineer.

4.Tap the Reset your phone button.
5. Confirm your selection by selecting Yes. Then tap Yes again.
Your HTC HD7 will then go through the process of resetting to factory default settings.
Option 2 - Resetting using the hardware buttons
You can also use the buttons to perform a hard reset. This comes in handy if the screen is frozen and you can't access the phone.

I have a similar problem with my HTC Touch Pro. A hard reset didn't work either!

Your phone is stuck in bootloader mode, it seems that you may need to reinstall your phone OS on your phone.

Go to the HTC site and download your phone's OS files/installer:

Follow the installer's instructions after you've downloaded the needed file.

I got that solution for this problem. My HTC is normal again now...
