Well i'm a great geocacher and i love to help people with the GPS'rs
so you found the guy :))))
It may not be the easiest approach, but you could create a custom POI file for your Geocache locations and then load them into your c330 using POI Loader.

If you're a premium member on Geocaching.com, it's my understanding that you can download locations in GPX format. POI Loader is supposed to read GPX files, but I haven't tried it with geocache locations yet.

Do you have a geocaching account that can download GPX files?

Someone told me that you can use Long/Lat with Google Earth, and you can save Google Earth POI's in GARMIN .cvs format, to use in the PIO Loader.

Go to Main Menu > Setup > Units > Position Format > change to hddd.ddddd format. This is the decimal format which is widely used by geocaching forums.

Why are there no coordinates(log/lat) availleble in my c330?

If you want to see what features are available in the Garmin GPS units, you can go to www.garmin.com and see a side-by-side comparison. The C330 was not the top of the line unit even before it was discontinued and does not have all the features of today's units. Regardless, you still should have been able to see a map of where you were and give local street names/numbers to your son.

Free map updates for Garmin c330

Garmin has released new maps. Most of their units are entitled to a free update if the unit was purchased recently Just a heads up to anyone who recently purchased a C330. According to Garmin's tech support, the map udate 2008 is not free to those of us that recently purchased a C330. Only to those who purchased a C340 and up. Their excuse is that it is a "low end" unit, and also that the memory cannot hold the full US maps on the DVD. Gee, I can purchase the update for $69.99 and load a subset of the maps if I want, according to the person in tech support, but I cannot receive it as a free update. So, apparently buyer beware if you purchase Garmin's "low end" units. You will apparently not be able to receive a free update of maps, even if the unit you buy is already out of date.

No Product Key to complete Garmin c330 update download

If you purchased the DVD Update version, the Product Key that they are requesting is on a label on the back of the DVD case that contains the update DVD.
If you downloaded the update they were supposed to e-mail you the Product Key.
