Check the impedence you amp.s ohms or probably lower then the speakers you are using.alower ohm amp will blow a higher impedence speaker.a lower ohm speaker will burn a higheer ohm amp.make sure ur amp. n spkrs are the same impedence.

I have service manual of Denon AVR-1705 that has part number list, schematics etc
I'll upload that service manual for you to take part numbers of broken parts in receiver and check it out at partstore.com
Let me know if you need service manual copy.
Thanks.

I have a Denon AVR 1705 and can get a tv picture and no sound or sound with no picture. Is there a setting or selection that I am missing to have both.

Sounds like the sound inputs have been reassigned to another input-

You'll ideally need the instructions to give a fuller idea of how you adjust these and all the options it gives you

Video does not work All this while, I had never used the video components of my AVR 1705. Recently, i wanted to connect the component out of the cable set top box and dvd player to the avr and the output...

Hi
The settings on many DVD players and TVs may need to be set to indicate the type of input/output being used(RGB vs YUV/YPbPr, and if set wrong the image may not be properly displayed. Try Look for such settings in your TV and/or Amp!

Good luck

Denon AVR-1705 Missing Video Functions?

Hello,

What you need to do is connect all your devices to the Denon Using the best connections (Yellow Video=OK, S-Video=good, Component green-red-blue=better and HDMI=best. if you do not have a DVD that upconverts to 1080i or p when using HDMI, I would use component cables where available from your devices to the Denon other wise use the next best connection available and if connecting digital audio make a chart of all connection so you can setup everything when your ready for programming the Denon

Denon AVR 1705-no audio on TV

I have had the same problem and was told that it is a "board" inside. Essentially it has lost the surround sound ability and can only play things in Direct/Stereo. Mine is just over 2 years and I originally thought my kids had hit a button on the thing causing the issue...ended up paying $100 to trouble shoot it and confirm that it is internal and more expensive to fix than replace. Can't say that I will be buying a Denon again.

Loudspeaker
Your phone has a loudspeaker for handsfree use. The loudspeaker allows you to
speak and listen to the phone from a short distance without having to hold the
phone to your ear, for example, having it on a table nearby. The loudspeaker can
be used during a call, with sound and video applications, and when viewing
multimedia messages. Sound and video applications use the loudspeaker by
default. Using the loudspeaker makes it easier to use other applications while in a
call.

I bought a second hand blackweb home theater system bwa18s8003 that has only the receiver and subwoofer how can I use this without the speakers I bought a second hand blackweb home theater system bwa18s8003. I am not familiar with speakers and these home theater systems. I thought a subwoofer was a speaker but after getting this home and doing research I see now that there should have been five little speakers making this like a surround sound I suppose. My friend thought it was a home stereo and for $10 I thought I found a heck of a deal. After reading I see that it's not recommended to switch up brands with this kind of systems. I hope I still have a deal. I'm wondering what kind of speakers (this is BT) I need and if second hand speakers possibly bought at thrift store, that aren't Bluetooth or blackweb brand may work. If not does anyone know a cheap place to get the right speakers, if they do indeed have to be replacements only to this system. My hopes was I have a little Bluetooth setup to play music off my phone and a stereo. I am asking for options as to what I can do with this system, being just the receiver and subwoofer without having to spend much more if any more money. For example, can I just plug it to my TV, etc. How can I even check to see if the two parts work before I put time and more cash into it since a subwoofer isn't a speaker how do I know if I can't the sound? I just guidance all around, wondering if I got a deal or do I need to kiss that money bye, and recycle or toss it. Thank you in advance for any directions and/or ideas.
