SOURCE: we want to hook up

Hi...
Without a huge mess, I would suggest one of the multi-speaker selectors that partsexpress.com sells or a similar item.
Just put "speaker slector" in their search engine.

If youre going to 8 other rooms..you might try a couple of wireless speaker systems too. They work in stereo and ....no wires

SOURCE: It turns off with an error to Check Speaker wires.

Did the fact that it was responding negatively to the loud volume not suggest it might be a bad idea to keep doing it?

The threshold on the volume knob is NOT where normal undistorted listening levels are found. Given a normal level of input you could be pushing your amp so hard that it clips or distorts and kills your speakers.

Do what it asks: check the speaker wires for shorts. Or disconnect the speakers and pray it comes back to life, then isolate the shorted (dead) speaker.

A capacitor is more like to fail than a coil, so I would also suspect a cap first. Capacitors conduct high frequency more than low frequency, so this may explain the extra load and shutdown on high frequencies.

Acer iconia tablet problem

Few things.
If you are talking about the built in speakers, make sure your volume is turned up. And make sure its turned up when the headphones are not plugged in. My android tablet has individual sound profiles so while I might have the sound muted when the headphones are not plugged in, if I plug them in, the volume jumps to my set level because that's where I turned the volume up to last time the headphones were plugged in. I've also had two tablets that the speakers went out completely on that to is a possibility but if you are talking about the built in speakers, check the volume levels first. You can get to them in the settings menu. Its worth noting that plugging anything into the headphone jack will "turn off" the internal speakers altogether.

If you are talking about external, plug into the jack speakers, on a tablet, you're going to need a set of powered speakers as that jack is not going to produce enough power to drive an un-amplified speaker. Make sure you are using a pair of speaks that plug into the wall such as PC speakers.

Second, if you are using powered speakers and still not getting any where, look at the jack end of your head phones and compare it to the jack end of your speakers. I know iPhones and other Apple devices have an extra connect which is why the Apple head phones all have an extra ring. My older headphones are worthless in my iPhone because they lack said extra connection. It's possible your tablet also requires the newer connection and the headphones have that while your speakers don't.

Broad answers, but I couldn't tell exactly what we were looking at based on the questions. Hope it helps, and good luck!

No sound on left front speaker

you need to set up the individual volume levels for each speaker.
do a sound test tone which will check for a signal from each speaker.
if you hear the speakers at different volumes you know you need to adjust the ones that are too weak. hope this helps

How can I connect Senheiser wireless headphone to Yamaha RX773 without using front headphone jack as this mutes speakers, I have hearing problems, my wife doesn't, I tried both av audio outs in the back...

Your receiver has Zone-2 functionality. For Zone-2, it has both speaker (powered) output and pre-out line outputs. According to Yamaha FAQ, these pre-out outputs are independent on the main volume settings. So if your wireless headphones have their own volume settings, you can change the volume independent on speakers volume.

If you want same volume for speakers and headpohones, use the PRE-OUT FRONT outputs on the back. If you want different volumes (and listen to headphones even with speakers muted), use ZONE-2 OUT outputs on the back.

Buttkicker Gamer 2 Amplifier won't turn on, light stays orange when it should be green. used to be a struggle sometimes to get it to turn green by using the remote, now it just stays orange all the...

Your Gamer 2 Amp turns on whenever an audio signal is present on the input. The amp can have trouble tuning on if the output of the source (computer sound card, etc.) has been turned down. This can happen easily if you use amplified speakers - if you turn the sound card's volume control down - and then increase the volume at the amplified speaker - the resulting sound is the same; even though the signal has been lowered. The problem is that the output from the sound card isn't sufficient to turn on the Gamer 2 Amp.

Try turning down the external speaker volume, then bump up the sound card volume. You'll probably need to adjust the other inputs individually (Wave, Mic, CD, etc) so that none is too loud or soft. Once the input values have been set, gradually increase the output of the sound card in the control panel application etc. while decreasing the volume on the amplified speaker to maintain a comfortable level. Eventually, you'll find the correct volume level on the sound card output that will wake up the Gamer 2 Amp.

If you're still having trouble, review the manual, here. I hope this helps & good luck!

Please advise as to how to increase the VOLUME on my DECT 6.0 phone.

To adjust the ringer volume:
  1. With the phone in standby, press ^ or v. The display shows the current volume level and the handset sounds the ringer at that level.
  2. Use ^ to make the ringer volume louder or use v to make it softer or turn it off completely.
  3. When you hear the ringer volume level you want to use, stop pressing keys. The handset will use the new ringer volume starting with the next incoming call.
Note: If you set the ringer volume to Off, the handset won't ring. If you have any accessory handsets, other handsets will ring according to their individual settings.

To adjust the earpiece volume:

You can choose from six volume levels for the handset earpiece. To adjust the earpiece volume while on a call, press ^ to make it louder or v to make it softer. The handset display shows the current volume level for the earpiece.

To adjust the speaker volume:

You can choose from six volume levels for the handset speaker while on a speakerphone call. To adjust the handset speaker volume, press ^ to make it louder or v to make it softer. The handset display shows the current volume level for the handset speaker.

Note: The handset earpiece and the handset speaker have separate volume settings.
