The charging port came out of the phone when my daughter removed the charger plug. It looks as if all the wires on the charging port broke off cleanly. Is this something I can repair myself?

Hi, im sorry to say its not something you can do yourself you just wont be able to do it without causing damage to the circuit board by the heat caused from soldering, i mean if your not that bothered about the phone then you could give it a try but im more or less sure you wont manage it.

put it this way the place you need to solder is so small the chance of getting the solder to stick on to a part thats less than half a ml is risky you just wouldnt get the solder to only solder what you need, their is so much stuff around the solder points that you would touch the solder on something else, these parts are fitted by a machine and the machine disipates the heat and this stops the circuit board over heating.

your best option would be take it to a phone shop and let them sort it for you, you wont be able to use the old part as the pieces that broke off wont sit level when you solder it back on and if you did it would only come back off again when you plug the charger in

if your not bothered if it will work or not then by all means have a go but i would put money on it not working, not because you have not got the skill but just because its in such a tight space that human fingers get in the way.

its up to you but i would not risk it i would get a shop to send it off and have a new part fitted.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Why am i having problems with my 1991 Chevy Camaro v8 305 5.0 Rs ? my car was running great! I bought it from an impound I was driving it for about 3 weeks and it ran awesome then out of nowhere I notice...

It sounds to me like you might be having transmission problems. Check your transmission fluid and filter, and replace if you haven't done so already.

I had the same problem with my 1992 ford bronco 4 wheel drive and what i finally had to do was rebuild the transmission. check your linkage cable to your transmission. it may only be that.
