We have a 40' Country Coach and have changed the batteries from 8D wet cells to AGM's. The literature I have describes two different setting tables for the Freedom 458 and the Freedom 25. There seems to be either a typo or the settings are reversed depending on which unit you have. Ours is a Freedom 25 sn 137363. Any advice?

OK my 2000 Discovery does the same thing. Try and hit the inverter charger with your fist 3-4 times, then listen and see if the charger fan starts up. I will be bringing my inverter to Portland this week to have the tech look at it. The other thing is it could be the transfer switch. Will let you know.

Fis\rst of all is the inverter supplying 120 VAC? when turned on?. If so the inverter seems to be working.I think your problem is in the truck alternator/charging system. The inverter is independent of this charger..

this isn't an answer but i would like to just clear the water a little. how old is the unit? you say it the inverter works when on shore power ( 110v A.C. wall plug or 220 ) but it will not charge the batteries while hooked up to shore power? are you trying to use a generator to run the inverter and charge the batteries? I just need to a little more so i can better understand you problem and help you better
