The water is not getting into the dishwasher. This happened once before and I took the line apart and found no issues. It began running again thru no apparent work that I did. It has stopped once again.
Suddenly no water into dishwasher, check of line in (copper tubing) indicates clear, reluctant to pull the whole thing out to check on clearing connection at bottom of dishwasher. All panel lights powered, and a click can be heard after pushing start, but no water.

I have the same type problem. Does your control panel light as expected? If so, remove the lower cover at the floor and take a pencil or screwdriver and spin the impeller ( at the beginning of the cycle) of the water pump to see if it will take off and pump water. If it does, you'll hear the water flowing into the washer. This is where I am in my troubleshooting. Our dishwasher will complete the cycle with clean dishes. I'm not sure if the pump is bad or if there is a control circuit for the pump. Hope this will help.

Depending on how old the unit is will depend on where to look for the leak. You have an incoming water line, a motor (with an impeller) and a discharge hose. First look at the hoses, motor assembly and areas under the washer tub for tell tale signs of leaking. Look for staining, usually a line like white powder will lead you to the leak. If none is found, start with the incoming line; first look at the valve that feeds the dishwasher, see if that is leaking. if it is, it will have to be replaced. Look at the feed hose to the dishwasher and see if it is brittle and cracked, if it is, replace it.Look at the discharge hose for brittleness and cracking as well, also check the connections to insure they are tight. If the hoses are found to be in good shape then look at the motor. There is a gasket that is in between the motor housing and the washer, see if it is leaking if so, replace it. You will have to remove the dishwasher to access the motor so be prepared to spend some time to complete this. Good luck and I hope it is just a hose issue.
Hi Thanks
for using FixYa. To start with check the water inlet valve which is located
behind the lower access panel on the left or right side of the Dishwasher. If
the water inlet valve is bad you have to replace it, also check the main water
line for clogs/obstructions. If still the issue is not resolved then it’s a bad
float switch and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the
issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
you need to check the power only:
1- check the power come to the wall right ,if not
get elecricity man to bring it to plug in the wall
2- check the cord of m/c if it has fuse check it
and replace with same values ampers,....so on
3- if problem still check electricity reach at end of cord if not ,chang cord
4- if you still have problem inform us
>be ware of electricale chock it is your your life> thanks from me m abba
There are many things could make a dishwasher not drain, here's a list of the most common reasons.
a clog or air gap in the drain line, often the problem is where the drain line attaches to the household drain line, if you remove this line you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection.
a defective pump, your dishwasher pump ejects the water.
many dishwashers use a drain valve or solenoid, the solenoid can sometimes become stuck or defective solenoid.
a defective motor, if the motor is'nt turinig or working the dishwasher won't drain.
Did anyone find out why the motor was spinning what seemed to be the wrong direction? My motor went out and I installed and new one same connectors and everything. Then the dishwasher wouldn't clean I bypassed the door switch and view the wash cycle and the arms weren't turning.. they are clean and not damaged. So I took it apart and viewed the impeller turning what appears to be the wrong direction.. even spinning to where the dull side off the chopper blade is the leading edge... could there be an issue with my new motor or a circuit board or some other issue. Wondering if there is a way to change the motor rotation with out causing other issues
Most DWs have a solenoid valve located in the motor compartment. It is hooked to the pump, the wash water output line and the drain. When activated, the solenoid allows the pump to drain the machine. When not, it sends the water up to the sprayers. It is clogged or defective. Locate the unit. Many can be taken apart easily for cleaning. I found a toothpick in one once. Worst case, buy an new one and install.
This has happened a few times to me as well.(VERY VERY LOUD NOISE AT THE BOTTOM)I have the same model It did stop.I did a little reading and came to the conclusion that it was the built in food disposer chopping blades were chopping up something like a cherry pit or peach pit and once an end of a wooden spoon that dropped down.If you look at your USE and care Guide on page 12 under trouble shooting "Dishwasher seems noisy"..I went through the same thing taking things apart. Its got to be it. Mine is 2 1/2 years as well. Hope this helps. [email protected]
I had water at the bottom of my 4 year old plus dishwasher and of course I thought the worst. Did the pump go out, bad impeller, or what else could it be! I started with the easy stuff first and disconnected the drain lines. The drain line runs from the dishwasher to an air gap mounted to my sink, which keeps the drain line from getting an airlock. From the air gap device another larger line runs to the garbage disposal. I used an 8MM wrench to loosen the clamps enough to pull the drain lines off and drained them into a bucket. There really wasn't any resistance to water flow and no real chunks, I was disappointed. I then took the actual air gap out of the sink by removing a large plastic nut and pulling the devise out from underneath the sink. When I inspected the air gap I saw a wad of hairy, feathery plastic stuff blocking the flow of water. I took the chunk out, reassembled everything and it works like new again. It is a very easy fix and now even the area under the sink is clean to boot.
