Ilo 26hd I have this tv my problem is I can't not change the input source only stay in "COMPONENT" input any ideal what can be the problem?

    Well I thought I'd look for your manual via google and was confronted by a screenful of iLo consumers complaining about their sets.

    It seems that the iLo brand is one of the worst for reliability.

    If your set is still under warrantee then take it back to Walmart or wherever you bought it.

    I hate to admit defeat but due to the sheer number of faults with these sets and the feeling you've tried everything by now makes me think this is the only course of action.

Ilo-26HD televison problems
most of the new TV's use a SCAT plug to allow connection of a PC or laptop. I doubt that this TV has that sophistication. The ISB will not do it and neither will S VIDEO.

As for the cable you could try a male to male plug to mnake a coaxial connection. These TV's were made to a price for walmart and you got what you paid for which was a cheap TV. There was no warranty offered by Walmart for these either

This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally

Well you may have to rescan for cable if you have cable if not then your tv tuner probley went out and the tv does not notice a signal. hope this helps

Let me guess, you bought this from Walmart?

If you can return it, do so, otherwise the best place to start is to follow the inputs to the board to the screen.

One thing to try is unplug it for 8 hours to hard reset it and see if that makes a difference. These tvs have a history of having this problem and most likely the signal processor is at fault if nothing else looks bad.

Hi! Yes, this is a very common problem for this model of ILO TV. It is due to a problem on the controller board inside the set. I actually bought one of these with the idea of fixing it, and it took 6 months of research to figure out the problem. If you are technically capable, or if you have a TV shop in your area where the set could be disassembled, I might be able to help. Let me know.
