You can try to format the psp2
Go through the : Setting>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk management>
Try to format fat files system.

The PSP 2000 (slim) has had problems like this before. I mod psp's and one of them had this problem i fixed it by opening it and taking the screen out to make sure its pluged into the tiny sockits. That was the issue. now it works like new! send me an e-mail at [email protected] and ill tell you where th screws a located so you can proform surgery on your PSP 2000 (slim) lol! surgery. funny. well send me an e-mail. so i can help.

You got a major problem with the cable.Better buy a new one.

It is not repairable..A new tv will have to be bought.

sounds like the switch to tell the unit that the door is closed is either loose installed at factory incorrect. or your grandchild has closed the top a bit vigorously and snapped a bit off it. open the lid and there will be like a plastic pin coming from the lid,check to see if it is broke. if not take it back to shop as its a manufacturing fault
