for cyberhome try code # 347 if that doesn't work try these 1023, 1024, or 0816. You can also get a replacement remote here. it's a replica and looks different but works the same. Hope this helps.

I have an extra 1600 remote.
I Frankensteined 2 dvrs together to make a working unit,
and ended up with an extra remote.

My unit finallt over heated and died, so let me know where to send the remote. You can send me a cd of music or starbucks tiny little gift card for my trouble if you so desire.

I have a cyberhome dvr 1200 lost the remote so i want to program a universal remote to use but have no luck with any codes

contact cyberhome to find out who actually makes the unit (e.g. western digital, scientific atlanta). then use the codes for the actual manufacturer on your universal remote. that should do the trick.

How to convert your CyberHome CH-DVR 1600
into a Region Free DVD Player
There are two versions of the Cyberhome DVR 1600 which require different methods of changing the Region Coding
CH-DVR 1600 MU

Power Up the unit with NO Disc in the tray.
Press the Setup button on your remote control
Press the 1 button on your remote control
Press the 6 button on your remote control
Press the 9 button on your remote control
Press the 5 button on your remote control
Press the 1 button on your remote control
Press the 8 button on your remote control
Select the region code with the Number buttons or the Navigation Buttons on your remote control. 0 (Zero) for Multiregion.
Exit the menu
Press the Power Off button on your remote control
Press the Power On button on your remote control

CH-DVR 1600 ZU
