Buttons on the TV nor the remote control don't work

Hi, I recently replace nonworking Vizio SV320M mainboard with a working one and now the remote control nor the buttons on TV don't function at all. After pushing power button on TV, TV turns on and I can see one channel is playing on TV but none of the buttons work. I can't do anything. Is this a mainboard issue or need a some kinda code or something? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

So the power button is the only one that functions? Double check your main board, IR sensor, and key controller connections. You should not need a code at all. The only programming you should have to do is to do a scan for antenna channels you may use as well as setting up any of your personal preferences. Did you order the exact part # as the old one?

Reprogram a vizio tv so the vizio remote works. I tried 3 vizio remotes and they only work the volume and on/off

Try using a different code for the remote. Certain remotes will only work with specific vizio models.

Looking for a jumbo remote that will operate a new 26 inch Vizio Montior. The old one don't work. Is there a new version?

A remote is not designed to control and Moitor. They only run by the video/sound output from the pc. So I am taking it for granted that you meant TV instead of Monitor.

A. Before buying a new remote try replacing the batteries first.

B. I found the Innovage Jumbo Remote Control manual and it has no code for the Vizio TV, you will need to utilize the remote's "Code Search" option.

C. Instructions

1. Turn on the Vizio TV.
2. Aim the Jumbo Universal Remote at the Vizio TV and hold down the "Code Search" button on the remove for roughly 3 to 5 seconds. The LED lights on the Jumbo Universal Remote will come on.
3. Press the "TV" button at the top of the Jumbo Universal Remote.
4. Start pressing the "ON/OFF" button repeatedly until the Vizio TV turns off. This will likely take several minutes due to the amount of available codes.
5. Press "Enter" on the remote immediately after the Vizio TV turns off to save the code.
6. Test the Jumbo Universal Remote by trying to control the Vizio TV with the remote. If the control doesn't work with the remote, repeat the entire process.

Good luck.

Vizio remote control not working

Hi, I had the same problem. My vizio remote for my 42 inch 2 month old vizio also seemed to stop working. Here's what I did: My vizio remote (like most remote's nowadays) was designed for multiple components (tv, dvd, vcr, etc). All you need to do to make the remote work again is set it back to tv. Now, the confusing thing about vizio remotes is that they actually have TWO places where you can switch the remote to the appliance you want to control. One is on top of the remote, the other is on the BOTTOM. Switch it back to TV using the BOTTOM. My remote had stopped working because I had inadvently switched it to another component on the BOTTOM component switch.

You can also try to take out the batteries and push all of the buttons with the batteries out of the remote. Then put the batteries back in and push the power button on the remote. If this doesnt work press the two TV buttons at the same time and the remote should be fine.
