Make sure you check that the front audio cable is connected properly on your motherboard. You can see how it's supposed to be hooked up and where it is located on page 2-32 in either of the manuals I have linked up for you below. And if you haven't already make sure you have the correct audio driver installed.
Try tis... 1) Re-installing windows will not fix the problem. Try re-installing the Ethernet driver (LAN). This driver should be on ASUS install cd.
2) Sometimes ethernet will just stop working. Then you should just purchase a new ethernet card. They are rather cheap. Check out Newegg website. You may have to disable onboard Lan in Bios.
Reboot your PC and hit F10 or F2 or any key it shows on your screen and go into BIOS setup and there should have one entry you can disable the onboard ethernet card.
You are correct. The Asus P5K does support SATA RAID configuration. Page 4-14 in the user manual.
Congifuration [Enhanced]. Only real option is IDE. That does not mean the SATA drives will run like an IDE. The SATA's will function faster. In order to get RAID function you would need to have bought the Asus P5K Deluxe. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P5K%20Deluxe/WiFi-AP&SLanguage=en-us
