KTBC51G vs. KTBC51GLF

I need to replace the motherboard in a GT4016. The current one is KTBC51GLF but I see there is also a KTBC51G available. Are they interchangeable?

When I push the power button the activity light and fan come on momentarily then stop. The power supply does work in another computer. That't why I believe it is the MB.

Most PC equipment is interchangeable. Seems like a there are chipset variations in the boards as well as a few spec variations. Most of the I/O configurations seems the same, so everything should hook up OK. The processor socket and memory support is also the same. I would expect you should have no problem with this as a replacement.

SOURCE: GT4022 Gateway FIC KTBC51G Motherboard died

How did you determine that the MB was dead? Do you know how to use a post card and do you have one? How old is your computer and is it worth it to replace the MB? It is usually fairly easy to find a replacement MB on Ebay. Although, today desktops are so inexpensive that you may want to try that route. If you do replace the MB make sure that your power supply is adequate. We build systems every day and we never use less than 450W. If you do decide to replace the MB email me if you run into any problems and I'll see if I can assist you.

The Gateway GT4016 is a 6-Bay Micro uBTX Case and the MSI KT4V is a ATX motherboard. Therefore the Motherboard will NOT fit in the gateway Case.

There are differences, but you should be good either way. For general use, you probably will not notice any differences.

Have you tested the power supply? Try switching out the power supply and see if that gets you up and running.
